As a Software Engineer with us, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing and developing automation test frameworks, as well as creating and executing test plans for applications under the Visa DPS platform. You will work closely with a collaborative team, reviewing requirements, determining appropriate testing strategies, and addressing any issues that arise.

Essential Functions:

  • Design and develop automation test frameworks
  • Create and execute test plans and test cases for applications under the VISA DPS platform
  • Review requirements, determine the appropriate testing strategy, and executing test plans while addressing any identified issues.
  • Perform manual tests, analyze results, and execute existing automated tests
  • Expand and update automated test suites as functionality, products, and technologies evolve

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

NOTE: Visa is unable to offer relocation assistance or future immigration support for this role.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of work experience
  • Some experience with developing or testing Java and .Net applications
  • Knowledgeable of common developer tool sets such as Java, XML, JSON, REST, Shell, Perl etc.
  • Ability to develop test cases based on Requirement documents.
  • Strong communication skills with proven ability to present complex ideas and document concisely.
  • Demonstrate service excellence and innovation by consistently creating opportunities and thinking and acting ahead of the curve.
  • Quick learner, self-starter, detailed and thorough.
  • Working knowledge SQL DB considered a plus.
  • Knowledge of all phases of software development life cycle including project management, functional requirements definition, technical design, development, testing, quality assurance, system certification, systems implementation and system validation.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 69,400.00 to 97,950.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
