Job Description
This role is based in one of the key Visa Europe cities including London, Madrid, Frankfurt, Berlin, Milan, Warsaw, supporting Visa Europe’s 37 markets. The role reports into the Director, SMB Solutions & Propositions.

You will work within the Small Business (SMB) team within Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS), which is responsible for accelerating VCS SMB revenue and improving Visa’s SMB solutions and propositions. You will be expected to work with a diverse set of internal stakeholders as well as clients to build compelling SMB propositions and you will support sales colleagues in selling and scaling these solutions in market. You will be required to travel for client meetings and may be expected to attend and represent Visa at industry events.
Responsibilities:
- Commercial ownership: Drive the commercial strategy, product build and execution plan for e-invoicing and embedded payments to grow Visa’s SMB business, aligned with Visa’s corporate objectives.
- Proposition/solution development: design and build scalable, revenue-driving solutions and propositions for issuers and other ecosystem players (e.g. ISVs).
- Client solutioning: work closely with market sales team on client pitches. Being an active participant in strategic client meetings, pitches and co-creation sessions by leading proposition / product development discussions and translating client needs into product requirements and high level-technical design. Partner with Solutioning Team to deliver detailed technical design.
- Marketing & training: build the narrative, and own the go-to-market, collateral creation, marketing and education for [e-invoicing and embedded payments/your SMB solutions], ensuring sales community is trained and equipped to sell.
- SME: Act as a deep subject matter expert for our SMB solutions, providing specialist knowledge and support on sales pitches, product rules, operating risks, pricing etc.
- Market intelligence: Gather client and market intelligence to drive product optimisation and market readiness, and work closely with our global colleagues to ensure roadmaps are aligned to European client needs.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 3 set days a week.
Qualifications
The successful applicant will:
- Have experience within SMB ISV ecosystem e.g. accounting platform, ERP, accounts payables/receivables providers.
- Understand SMB ecosystem of virtual cards and accounts payable / accounts receivable platforms and processes.
- SMB payments or SMB banking product, proposition, solutioning or sales roles.
- Excellent relationship skills and credibility to work with internal and external stakeholders including senior leaders
- Ability to tell a compelling story and bring people along on a journey
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience working in a complex multicultural matrix environment and ability to work through change
- A strong degree of self-direction and accountability with focus on delivery
- High orientation towards teamwork, good attitude towards cross functional working
- Fluency in English with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Fluency in another European language viewed favourably.
