Job Description
In the past three years, Visa has established a team to focus on the global B2B travel ecosystem. The team is responsible for developing and managing key travel intermediary clients globally and building out a best-in-class product suite specifically for the industry. The team has successfully built commercial relationships with travel players including issuers, merchants, GDSs, fintechs and travel integrators and continue to expand coverage globally.

Job Description & Responsibilities
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a global team within Visa, driving partnership development and management globally. This role, reporting to the Director of Partnerships B2B Travel, will be responsible for identifying, implementing and managing travel partnership opportunities, building strong multifaceted relationships. Key responsibilities will include:
- Inputting to and driving the Global B2B Travel’s partnership strategy and effective implementation.
- Identifying and implementing new profitable partnership agreements with key B2B players, which will enable new opportunities for our issuers.
- Ensure agreements are monetizable where possible to achieve both new business and ongoing payment volume targets.
- Establish where needed and nurture relevant relationships with key industry players (eg IATA, ECTAA, Hedna) globally with clear link to increasing the Visa’s B2B travel business indirectly via them.
- Developing and managing Visa’s key strategic B2B travel partnerships including the four dominant GDSs (Sabre, Amadeus, Travelport and Travelsky), technology partners (Travelfusion, Softconnex) and merchants (OTAs, airlines, hotels and ground transportation etc.)
- Work effectively with the key internal stakeholders locally, regionally and globally as required to help drive revenue for the B2B Travel vertical.
- Work closely with the B2B & Commercial product teams to evolve the value proposition, products and platforms globally to meet client / market needs.
- Accountability for developing and executing strategic and tactical account plans with partners to support B2B Travel overall financial targets. Be the day-to-day liaison for all allocated partners.
- Ensure all contractual elements are executed and incentives managed/paid effectively (where relevant)
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
What we’re after
- Experience in partner development and business development in the payments industry, ideally with expertise in B2B travel payments.
- Proficiency in managing partner relationships with demonstrated trouble shooting / problem solving skills and bias towards action.
- Demonstrated track record of planning, managing and closing complex client deals or partnerships.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to develop and sell new strategies to clients to deepen client relationships.
- Politically and commercially astute with the presence and credibility to build client and internal stakeholder relationships to achieve Visa team objectives.
- Proactive team player with can-do attitude and willingness to pick up and run with work that is unfamiliar or new.
- Preferred understanding of the commercial payments’ solutions utilised by OTAs and travel issuers, emerging payment trends and payment economics.
- Outstanding executive communication skills (written, oral & presentation) with an ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to broad audiences in an approachable way.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to influence across Visa’s highly- matrixes structure, including cross-functionally (product, marketing, finance etc) and regionally (Europe, AP, CEMEA, NA, LAC).
