Issuing Solutions is a high-growth business unit within Visa’s Value-Added Services (VAS) organization. Our group is responsible for building products that improve issuer processing and cardholder experiences globally.

As a member of the Issuing Strategy and Analytics team, you will be responsible for sourcing, driving, and delivering data-driven strategic projects. The Issuing Solutions and Analytics team provides a comprehensive range of consulting services to deliver solutions that address unique challenges in areas such as improving profitability, strategic growth, customer experience and managing risk. 

Example projects identifying new business opportunities, measuring product performance, building product roadmaps, recommending experimentation strategies, supporting 3rd party partnership negotiations, and more.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • You will scope & lead data-driven consulting projects with internal Product executives.

  • You will develop strategic insights (e.g.: market size, revenue pools by region/segment, product performance, usage rates) for the business. 

  • Build business models to support business cases and improve business management 

  • Identify opportunities to productize internal performance monitoring capabilities w/ clients.

  • Enable always-on performance monitoring and engage with business leaders based on findings discovered from monitoring.  

  • Drive socialization of important findings & next steps. Influence senior leaders to execute against recommendations.

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • You have strong strategy & analytical skills- including building business cases, developing models, conducting analysis, and presenting to senior executives.
  • Ability to structure and manage complex cross-enterprise projects and processes with multiple stakeholders at both senior and junior levels
  • Experience in management consulting, strategy, product management or equivalent
  • Ability to lead multiple workstreams over a wide variety of functional business problems
  • Experience mentoring juniorr team members & shaping their project plans
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor, attention to detail and ability to structure and analyze financial modeling
  • Experience working with strategic and prioritization frameworks, scenarios analysis, and competitive assessments. Knowledge of payment industry revenue drivers a plus.
  • Executive presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior stakeholders and external business partners
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility as a 'peer' with functional and regional leaders within Visa
  • Excellent problem solving, attention to detail, project management, and communication.
  •  Self-starter who is comfortable in ambiguous environments.
  • Collaborative spirit and a knack for understanding and communicating stakeholder needs.
  • Curious and inquisitive, with a strong desire to get beyond the 'what' and into the 'why'.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 147,700.00 to 180,150.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
