Job Description

The Sr. Manager, Social Program Manager is part of the Global Content Strategy, Development & Distribution team, reporting to the Director of Creative Operations. This individual will be part of a global team responsible for developing and scaling best-in-class social content on behalf of Visa’s marketing positioning and voice.

This individual will combine program management expertise with deep understanding of social platforms and creative to plan, execute and deliver high-impact social content and campaigns. This person should have passion and experience in  

  • Project Planning and Management: Producing complex social-first projects from concepting to delivery by developing detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines to ensure work is completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. 

  • Team Coordination - Coordinating with internal teams (Strategy, Creative, Production, Brand, Sponsorship, etc.) and external partners and agencies to assign tasks, manage workflows, and ensure seamless collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.  

  • Quality Assurance -  Monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating content to ensure it meets brand guidelines, quality standards, and project requirements, while educating stakeholders and agencies on necessary processes and guidelines. 

  • Risk Management - Identifying potential project risks and proactively developing mitigation strategies. 

  • Communication -  Maintaining clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, providing regular project updates and status reports. 

  • Process Improvement - Evaluating and refining project management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness continually. 

  • Technology - Some knowledge of the following PM Tools - Wrike, Asana, Notion or MS Project Manager 

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
-8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
-9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
-Proven track record of project managing large-scale, high-profile social content,
campaigns, and productions across both tentpole and always-on moments.
-Deep proficiency partnering with internal and external partners to deliver best-
in-class social content.
-Clear knowledge of cross-functional roles and processes, including Creative
Development, Strategy, Media, Distributions, Legal, and Creator Partnerships.
-Fluency in deliverables, specs, and processes for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube,
X, and other platforms, across organic and paid media
-Deep proficiency managing cross-functional efforts and multiple priorities
simultaneously.
-You have a bias for action, not bureaucracy, and are able to act nimbly and
quickly while rallying cross-functional teams and senior execs behind a shared
vision.
-You are team-oriented and collaborative, operating with a highly organized,
operational mindset.
-You are a self-starter and resourceful problem solver yet flexible, able to adapt
quickly to changing priorities and tight deadlines.
-Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 149,900.00 to 195,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
