- Own the localisation and execution of the cluster’s Small Medium Business strategy and Go To Market, partnering with key stakeholders including Head of Business Development, Merchant Solutions & Acquiring, and Visa Commercial Solutions Hub teams
- Lead SMB sales activities with existing clients, supporting Account Executives, including:
- Identifying new sales opportunities to ‘grow’ Visa’s SMB solutions
- Designing new client propositions or enhancements to existing propositions, including bringing together a ‘One Visa’ solution for SMBs e.g Tink, Money Movement Solutions
- Cross-sell/ up-sell Visa SMB solutions incl. value added services relevant to SMB segment
- Work with client AEs and Visa Consulting & Analytics to drive growth of SMB card portfolios for existing clients, covering client performance, activation, optimisation and migration
- Develop SMB component of key client account plans and Visa strategic planning sessions
- Support BDs on new SMB client opportunities, including:
- Reviewing client propositions/ proposals prepared by cluster BDs
- Acting as an SMB subject matter expert in new client meetings
- Identifying SMB whitespace, sales acceleration opportunities and maintaining an up-to-date view of SMB pipeline shape
- Develop strategies and sales plans for Visa’s SMB untapped program and identify SMB opportunities in new prioritized industry verticals
- Contribute to the overarching European SMB solution roadmap by continuously reviewing market intelligence client feedback and competitive landscapes
- Ensure market and client readiness / fit when new Visa solutions are launched, and support the localisation of sales collateral and GTM
- Be part of the cluster’s SMB ecosystem, identifying key potential clients, enablers, influencers and partnership opportunities
- Partner with Visa marketing and consulting teams to develop and deliver internal and external education and marketing campaigns to build Visa’s SMB brand
- Contribute to cluster planning processes to ensure SMB initiatives and priorities are top of mind and funded
- Take accountability for delivery of assigned initiatives, sales revenue and performance indicators
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
- Deep knowledge of SME payments and global payment systems, preferably gained through working for a bank, Fintech or payments player
- Strong understanding of the issues and challenges for small businesses, with an appreciation of European markets and focus on Nordic & Baltic regions
- Strong commercial acumen with the desire to own and drive sales success
- Strong relationship skills and credibility to work with internal and external peers and more senior stakeholders
- Comfort working in a complex multicultural matrix environment and ability to work through change
- A strong degree of self-direction and accountability with focus on delivery
- High orientation towards teamwork, good attitude towards cross functional working
