Job Description

The Business Planning & Operations (BPO) team helps broaden the Group County Manager’s (GCM) bandwidth by defining Visa’s strategy and key priorities in North Africa, Levant & Pakistan (NALP), driving business performance through increased productivity and performance standards and providing strategic oversight and project management across key priorities of the region.

The Business Planning and Operations Senior Manager will lead the translation of Visa's global strategy into actionable plans for NALP. This role involves identifying and addressing internal and external business challenges, managing strategic initiatives, and partnering with the Strategy team to build robust country and functional strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong consulting background, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency in creating high-quality presentations. This individual will work independently with the GCM and senior executives to drive business objectives.

Primary responsibilities:

Strategy & Business Planning

  • Lead the translation of Visa's global strategy into regional priorities for NALP.

  • Co-lead annual business planning cycle along with Finance, help the Country Managers and functions to develop integrated NALP plans to support revenue growth targets, and ensure optimal deployment of investments to finalize the operating plan for the business

  • Translate Annual Operating Plan targets into scorecard objectives

  • Identify and analyse internal and external business challenges in the NALP region and develop comprehensive action plans to address them

Program Management

  • Oversee and program manage major project work streams related to strategic priorities in NALP (with special focus on Value Added Services and Commercial & Money Movement Solutions)

  • Ensure timely and effective execution of initiatives

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive execution.

Business Reviews, Executive Presentations and Operations

  • Develop and present quarterly NALP business reviews to Visa's senior leadership.

  • Identify latest payment innovations and trends to be presented by GCM to senior executives.

  • Build the agenda, cadence and content of internal employee communications

  • Lead client segmentation, account plans, and other business planning and operations tasks.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business planning, operations, or consulting.
  • Strategic thinking, strong analytical skills and financial acumen required to be a trusted advisor to NALP Leadership team.
  • Project management skills and strong execution capability to deliver against tight deadlines.
  • Ability to quickly assess an opportunity, using industry experience and fact-based analyses
  • Ability to learn quickly, deal with complexity and lead change
  • Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate, verbally and in writing, compelling messages to senior managers and other stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including exceptional presentations and slide-building skills.
  • Self-confident and hands-on, with the ability to operate in a fast paced and constantly changing work environment
  • Excellent collaborator with ability to influence without authority, and rally corporate resources and functional experts to drive business objectives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
