Job Description

Team Summary: 

As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be part of the Tech Squad to execute on the exciting Visa offers exchange and instant card issuance Program. You will get an opportunity to work on cutting edge technology and play a pivotal role in driving advancement in the bank's leading engineering practices. You will build and coach others to develop and automate the testing of robust, adaptable code that is always production ready.   • Responsible for working with highly collaborative teams and technology vendors to support integration of technologies on the roadmap implementing robust and scalable systems emphasizing on designing and delivering as per the established standards and guidelines.
  • DevOps automation on all aspect of the platform.
  • Ability to deliver the projects as per the plan and schedule.
  • Track and document the lifecycle of the platform, database, and middleware infrastructure per application/technology
  • Represent middleware team in the change management review and be the first level approver for planned changes
  • Define systems integrations, design patterns and development standards to support cross-functional, multi-system solutions that scale and are flexible to meet current and future needs of the organization.
  • Partner with Operations team in creating/updating standard operations procedure and reporting.
  • Coach other engineers and team members to increase their capability and in turn the capability of the scrum teams and organization.
  • Maintain a focus on personal development of soft skills including refining ability to operate in ambiguity and problem-solving skills  

Projects you will be a part of:

The role will be based in Sydney, Australia in a hybrid work environment (minimum 3 days in office per week).

You will be part of the squad. You will be embedded with Client’s wider business and technical teams to take the project implementation from inception to deployment.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

  • Experience in working on web projects and managing web-views for integration with mobile apps. Familiarity with Angular or React is beneficial.
  • Demonstrable experience (3+ years) in designing, developing, and delivering responsive web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • 8+ years of experience with web-based architecture utilizing technologies such as Java 8, Java 11, Java EE (EJB and JAX-RS), JSON, third-party APIs, Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate.
  • Experience with relational databases, preferably SQL Server.
  • Experience with Kafka or similar event streaming technologies and microservices architecture.
  • Extensive experience in enterprise application integration including APIs, web services (SOAP/RESTful), microservices, containerization (OpenShift Containers, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with Linux and middleware technologies.
  • Deep understanding of tools across the full software delivery lifecycle (testing, mocking, source control like Git, CI, work tracking, defect management).
  • Training and certification in relevant cloud, DevOps, and middleware technologies are advantageous.
  • Ability to learn quickly and draw meaningful conclusions from independent research.
  • Proficient in managing multiple projects and solving complex problems
