Job Description

Visa is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Visa Global Operating Certificate (GOC) team in Mexico. The Operating Certificates are reports filed by financial institutions on a quarterly/monthly basis. Visa uses the reports to assess Quarterly Service Fees and perform other industry metric analysis.  The Operating Certificate team is responsible for assisting and training clients with the quarterly/monthly filing, analyzing submitted data, and resolving reporting errors. In addition, the team is responsible for billing process to assess quarterly/monthly service fees.

Working with cross-functional departments, this position will help increase accuracy of reported revenues, and improve efficiencies of the GOC process.

The candidate should have the ability to effectively communicate with external and internal clients, and capability to adapt changes and various systems. This position requires the ability to learn quickly, work independently, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Core responsibilities:

  • Be the contact point and provide value added guidance to business owners and finance business partners.

  • Extract and analyze revenue data, schedules, reconciliation for billing data and its related activities

  • Perform GOC onsite audits

  • Participate in system enhancement projects including user acceptance testing ensuring desired outcome.

  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of billing to clients and resolve billing issues/queries to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Participate internal /external/SOX audit requirements

  • Support the GOC Team in ad-hoc projects and request from management and clients

  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time (Required)

  • Ability to analyze business trends

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
5+ years financial and/or accounting experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a financial discipline is preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage one’s time (Required).
• Ability to proactively recognize and resolve issues.
• Excellent planning and time management skills.
• Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking (Required).
• Highly motivated team member who easily cultivates effective relationships both inside and outside the Finance organization.
• Demonstrated expertise in MS Office (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
• English/Spanish is a must. Portuguese is a Plus
Preferred Qualifications
• Detail oriented, analytical, thorough, and accurate.
• Candidate must be self-motivated, ability to function well independently as well as in a team, and comfortable in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Candidate will interact with various levels of management across the organization and strong leadership and interpersonal skills are required as cross-functional projects occur on a regular basis.
• Strong business analysis skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, diplomacy, and a very upbeat customer-service attitude are essential
