Job Description

The VCA team is looking for a seasoned leader to join our Consulting and Analytics organization to grow and deliver the strategy, business, team and financials for Visa’s North America Merchant Everyday Spend Industry Segment. This segment includes Visa’s Bill Pay and Financial Services, Dining/Restaurants, and Digital Platform Services clients. The potential candidate will be responsible for selling, delivering, and implementing high value consulting and analytics projects and solutions with this diverse and growing set of clients. This person will develop initiatives to promote sustainable and profitable growth, thereby ensuring that Visa is both, the preferred brand and unique business partner.

Potential client engagement topics (payments and non-payments focused) could include, but not limited to, payments strategy, benchmarking analysis, product development and launch, customer life cycle management (acquisition, engagement, retention), audience creation and personalization, loyalty and partnerships, digital capability optimization, propensity modeling, and geospatial insights.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Proactively engage Visa leaders in regular strategy & planning discussions, cultivate and manage a large-scale business and pipeline of innovation and sales opportunities with North America Every Day Spend clients.

  • Own scoping, selling, and delivering client engagements with their respective team and other internal and external partners.

  • Directly manage, lead, recruit and develop a team of Directors, Managers and Analysts.

  • Develop frameworks, approaches, and capabilities that effectively and efficiently address the most impactful industry and client opportunities and challenges.

  • Build and deliver solutions/tools and actionable insights that will help clients and VCA to grow our businesses, monetize assets and achieve core business goals.

  • Partner with Visa cross functional partners (e.g., Account Executives, Marketing, Risk, Product) and global teams to bring our One Visa Advisory Services and Product Strategies to life.

  • Collaborate with internal Data Science Teams on developing and delivering the art of the possible with our clients and advancing our overarching data and capabilities strategy (internal and external sources).

  • Actively QA and support development of client insights, analyses, and recommendations to improve client performance, boost growth, drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic guidance for client priorities across the product categories and segments.  

Incumbents applying for the role should be self-motivated, highly accountable and energized. They should be detail-oriented individuals who can deliver strategic thought leadership, problem diagnostics and high impact solutions to clients to support the growth and performance. Candidates must be able to develop enduring, strategic relationships with internal and external clients and across the Visa organization.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
  • 10 or more years of relevant diverse experience across Management Consulting, Analytics, Merchant Industries, Advisory Sales and Payments.
  • Deep Merchant Bill Pay and Financial Services, Dining/Restaurants, and Platform Services (e.g., Digital, Streaming, etc.) industry experience and knowledge, demonstrating the ability to analyze multiple data sets, quickly draw insights and apply recommendations/learnings both inside and outside of the payments function.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong end-to-end project business development, sales, and delivery skills.
  • Self-motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to manage concurrent priorities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the payments space including products & services, business systems and processes, marketing initiatives and card acquiring experiences.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills with senior executive level clients.
  • Team player
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Technology mindset, curious, up to date with digital trends and applications.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 163,800 to 301,150 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
