The Senior Talent Partner serves as a key member of Visa’s Global Talent Partner team and the Technology People team, building and delivering a portfolio of organization and talent solutions in support of our Global Technology organization.

This role will 1) ensure that the Talent Management and Org Design COEs are building business- relevant processes, products and services that will support Visa’s overall business strategy, 2) drive change and roll out new talent management processes and org design tools to Technology leaders and People Business Partners, and 3) serve as a strategic and trusted org and talent advisor to executives and people leaders in Technology.

The Senior Director, Talent Partner will report to the VP, Global Talent Partners, working closely with Org Design, Visa University, Executive Recruiting, I&D, and Talent Acquisition COE leadership.

Essential Functions:

  • Understand the business strategy and partner with PBPs to set a tailored org and talent strategy for key functions, building a framework for designing organizations and leadership teams, regular reviews of talent, delivering talent programs for high priority talent pools (e.g. top, emerging, under-represented, technical) and the strategic movement of key talent across the organization.

  • Conduct organizational assessments and diagnostics, using defined methodologies to identify critical issues and root causes and implementing appropriate solutions to improve organization effectiveness and drive transformation.

  • Provide SME guidance, education, and change management to enable quality execution and consistency of processes set by the global Talent team.

  • Closely integrate into the organization and leverage employee listening strategies to understand areas of challenge, and opportunities to accelerate performance.

  • Provide perspective and co-develop processes and programs for talent assessment, coaching, succession planning, career development, and mobility with the Talent Management COE.

  • Lead succession planning efforts as a key driver of the Organization and Talent Planning (OTP) process, in partnership with People Business Partners and business leadership - create development plans for key talent and succession candidates identified during the OTP process - and be a trusted advisor on shaping roles and improving readiness, and monitor progress.

  • Assist in the design and deployment of proven organization change management principles and methodology to support large scale organizational change initiatives.

  • Partner with Visa University and Talent Management to identify the learning needs of key cohorts of talent and serve as a design consultant to the programs. Nominate executives for participation.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
  • Minimum of 12 - 15 years of progressive experience in field of top talent development or related fields of leadership development, talent management, or organization development. Preferred HR business partner experience.
  • Coaching certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of and deep functional expertise in contemporary talent management practices
  • Proven ability to hold leaders accountable for developing talent. Knows bench-strength of their team, identifies what is needed to deliver results, and assesses individuals accordingly. Critically evaluates talent and provides timely and constructive feedback.
  • Self-directed, process-oriented individual with strong business acumen and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Strong program and project management skills preferred.
  • Highly pragmatic style. Easily adapts to ambiguity, changes in strategy, or conflicting information to drive timely decisions and a course of action
  • Thorough and detailed analysis of problems to produce optimal decisions focused on very specific goals. Seeks out others as sources of data, ideas, and help. Recognizes the broader issues to simplify analyses and execute timely decisions or actions. Challenges HR Business Partners and business leaders to view issues from multiple perspectives and continuously develop.
  • Proven ability to lead large scale and global change efforts. Anticipates barriers to change and directly addresses any resistance.
  • Develops strong relationships, influences key stakeholders, and builds consensus around decision-making and problem-solving. Recognizes which stakeholders hold influence to drive resolution and move work forward.
  • Removes barriers to effective communication by being open and working across organizational boundaries. Establishes strong partnerships and share best practices within and outside of the Global Markets and North America team.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Speaks English fluently, and minimum one other language of the region (if needed)
  • Has a high intercultural sensitivity and can apply global concepts locally

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 160,100.00 to 232,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
