Led by Visa’s first Chief Data Officer, the Global Data Office coordinates high-impact, complex, company-wide projects related to data business strategy, critical investments, policy development, and marketplace execution. Working closely with Visa’s Chief Privacy Officer, the Technology organization, the wider data community, and the full set of Visa’s global lines of business, the Global Data Office is evolving Visa’s data-related work with momentum and enthusiasm. The Global AI & Data Innovation team is creating the next generation of scalable and responsible AI, ML and Data Innovations and products to solve client and consumer problems. We are a cross-functional team of data scientists, product managers, AI and data engineers, program managers focused on generating value for the payments ecosystem 

We are dreaming of the next generation of AI features and products. In this position, you will be a key product leader helping shape our AI product efforts, specifically focused on personalization capabilities and signals. These personalization capabilities and signals will power Data Tokens and many other personalization-related use cases. The ultimate goals is to better link consumers with products and services, with benefits for every party in the payments ecosystem (consumers, businesses). 

 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Creates strategy and roadmap for Visa’s AI features, products and innovations, focused on personalization capabilities, models and signals 
  • Drive and deliver product features through their entire creative cycle: ideation, specification, development, internal approvals, release, analysis, and iteration 
  • Leads other product managers 
  • Provides structure for projects and deliverables through Visa’s agile methodology. This includes specifying user stories, building epics and prioritizing development efforts 
  • Collaborate with a wide range of data scientists, data engineers and machine learning engineers to create robust and scalable solutions 
  • Establishes strong relationships and collaborations across regions and business units, including technical and non-technical cross functional partners 
  • Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews to report on progress and critical milestones to the leadership 
  • Be the internal and external champion of AI initiatives and the value of AI overall driving interest and support across all areas 
  • Be responsible for achieving the key performance indicators you are entrusted with 
  • Member of the AI & Data Innovation leadership team 

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD



Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
  • 15+ years of product management or related industry experience (12+ years of experience with an advanced degree)
  • Track record of creating strategic roadmap, deployment of robust and scalable AI/ML/Data Science solutions and products
  • Product management experience in one of more of the following areas: personalization, advertising, feeds and ranking optimization, user-facing optimization, AI-driven products and features
  • Experience with designing products working closely with legal and compliance, privacy partners ensuring they meet policies
  • Experience working with Tech infrastructure and delivery teams to deliver products on schedule
  • Advanced knowledge of AI/ML/Data Science techniques, both exploratory and in production
  • Ability to leverage user insights, data, and statistical analyses to inform decisions
  • Experience with agile delivery and in managing scrum teams and typical practices (like epic and spring planning using Jira, Jira Align, etc.)
  • A desire to build 0-1 products from the ground up
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, organizational, and execution skills, along with proven communication abilities
  • Experience working in global organizations and roles that need collaboration with stakeholders, partners and development team spread around the globe, gathering regional and global requirements
  • Diplomat – excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Deep experience building and recruiting world-class teams

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 174,900 to 321,550 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
