Job Description
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Senior Director, Enterprise Communications, to create internal campaigns, programs, and events that inform leaders and colleagues about the company’s strategic business priorities, cultural programs, and large-scale change. The Senior Director will work closely with the Global Head of Enterprise Communications on signature programs, special projects, and high-profile communications, with a particular focus on reinforcing the company’s culture and transformation initiatives. The Senior Director also will help create and produce enterprise events, including a regular cadence of all-employee Town Halls, high-touch executive forums, and ad hoc company-wide events. This role also serves on the Global Enterprise Communications leadership team to strengthen the team’s culture and capabilities.

Responsibilities:
Lead communications for internal programs that create a deep connection to Visa’s culture.
Develop narrative frameworks, communications campaigns, and events designed to educate employees about how our ways of working drive the company’s success.
Work closely with C-suite and their offices, the Enterprise Transformation Office team, and other cross-functional teams to create strategic plans to deliver on critical enterprise initiatives.
Create campaigns, key messages, and other elements of communications plans to support key programs.
Lead a team to create bespoke communications plans to educate and engage employees about large-scale transformation and what it means for the company’s growth objectives, by creating change narratives and messages that bring forward people’s thinking, drive an understanding of enablement materials, and excite employees about large-scale transformation.
Oversee design and video agencies to create dynamic assets to complement the communications strategy while staying within budget.
Partner with Internal Digital Platform Communications colleagues to design and create new ways of reaching employees in a hybrid environment, focused on leveraging digital assets to drive colleague engagement.
Develop a storytelling infrastructure to craft messaging, case studies, digital and social assets (e.g., videos, animations, social posts), and other content for use across multiple internal channels (events, speaking engagements, intranet, etc.) to enhance culture and drive engagement.
Partner with global and regional employee communications colleagues to ensure message alignment and to generate content ideas.
Partner with the Global Events and Global Technology teams to produce internal events, including the CEO’s quarterly Town Halls, annual leadership meetings, and other marquee events, with interactive elements to deliver meetings with a ‘wow’ factor in a hybrid environment. Oversee elements of live internal events, from agenda development to day-of execution.
Serve as a strategist and thought partner to peers and the broader Communications team on leveraging internal channels to share enterprise messaging, gather, analyze, and share relevant metrics with stakeholders to demonstrate campaign/event effectiveness and drive ongoing improvement.
Lead a team to drive strategy, large-scale change, content development, and creative execution.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or related discipline required
- Experience in fintech, financial services, or another relevant area strongly preferred
- Extensive experience in shaping communications strategies and creating messaging frameworks that reinforce a company’s culture
- Deep understanding of communications as a change enabler and experience in change management initiatives
- Demonstrated deep understanding of the employee audience, including various ‘personas’ and their respective needs
- Ability to influence, counsel, and guide leaders
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including stellar editorial proficiency (writing, editing, proofreading)
- Demonstrated understanding of the combined impact that well written and highly designed communications make, keen sense of design and visual content for production materials
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, pivot quickly, and respond with urgency, unflappable in high-pressure environments
- Sound business judgment and experience ‘connecting the dots’ among seemingly unrelated topics
- ‘Hands-on’ leader with outstanding attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Experience providing coaching and feedback to help team members learn and grow

Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 163,600 to 284,050 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
