Job Description

Visa Direct is the brand name for all of Visa’s money movement capabilities and incorporates Visa Direct, B2B Connect and Currencycloud. The Visa Direct platform provides clients (issuers, acquirers, processors, merchants and service providers) with a world leading infrastructure to facilitate fund disbursement and collection around the world. The platform allows customers to collect funds into virtual accounts, deliver sophisticated FX and liquidity solutions and disburse money into Cards, Accounts and Wallets around the world

This role covers all sides of the Visa Direct product – Card, Account and Wallet as the full suite of Currencycloud and B2B Connect solutions.

This role will report into the Head of Visa Direct Specialized Sales, non-Banks Financial Institutions (NBFI’s) UK and Ireland. The role will require the successful candidate to:

  • Act decisively: Meet and exceed your sales targets. “Sell, sell, sell” will be your north star in your day to day job – any activity you are doing should serve this goal.

  • Act as a leader: Be the expert in your Cluster on Money Movement: able to articulate a multi-year go-to-market plan, drive a strong sales pipeline, and be the Visa Direct advocate in the Cluster.

  • Collaborate: Work closely with wider Business Development, Merchant Sales and Product Teams in the UKI Cluster to plan and execute related strategies. Treat colleagues with respect, consideration and kindness. Contribute to the culture of honesty, integrity and positivity that Visa has fostered.

  • Feel responsible to deliver in-year net-revenues in the Cluster, which involves supporting the Account Management team to execute the deals signed in the Cluster.

Visa is looking for an experienced business development and payments leader with an outstanding sales track record. In addition to business development experience, outstanding client management and interpersonal skills are critical.

What we expect of you day to day:

  • Use your network and market insights to find, develop and manage relationships with strategic partners, non-financial institutions and technology providers in the region, driving new areas of engagement and partnerships.

  • Be creative in thinking of how Visa with its products and solutions can support various needs and expectations of your clients, identify synergies and opportunities.

  • You will quickly get up to speed on Visa’s product offering, specializing in retail, digital and commercial solutions and how they can help our partners achieve their business objectives.

  • Utilize a consultative sales approach that ensures that the client’s business objectives are met.

  • Continuously review payment landscape and recommend and help to develop ways to increase value for Visa and our clients.

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

 

    Qualifications

    • Ideally experience selling payment / FX / Cross border services to financial institutions.
    • Extensive business experience in sales and/or relationship management roles and a proven depth of experience in driving client growth and winning new business in B2B or financial services environment.
    • Experience and knowledge of financial/banking services for SME sector. Demonstrable knowledge of the payments industry landscape, trends and opportunities
    • Highly developed relationship management skills with a deep sales orientation. Ability to effectively engage with and grow a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
    • Experience in successfully selling projects and ideas to senior management based on insight and needs. Creativity and out of the box thinking
    • Ability to simplify and identify main drivers/issues within a varied set of challenges
    • Ability to develop, lead, close and grow competitive sales efforts. Influence people, plan, prioritize and track execution across cross-functional matrix and with external partners
