Job Description

The role of Senior Account Executive is to increase Visa acceptance in Austria. Potential verticals to work on in this role include, but are not limited to Urban Mobility, Utilities and Small Businesses.

Key to this role is to execute the local strategy, driving the digital roadmap and focus on new payment flows and services revenue generation. The role will report to the Austrian Country Manager.
Driving new acceptance is a key pillar in Visa’s growth strategy and the ideal candidate will bring passion for and interest in payments, client-facing skills and presence, and will enjoy working collaboratively across functions and have an entrepreneurial mindset.

What we expect day to day:

  • Deliver to the Visa Austria Acceptance Strategy: You will input into the development of our Acceptance Strategy to expand Visa acceptance in Austria, ensuring alignment with functional peers and country priorities for the verticals you are leading:
  • Identify and size the opportunity for value propositions that leverage core product capabilities including: Tokenization, Click to Pay,Tap2Phone, Visa Direct, Visa Acceptance Solutions and many more
  • Identify and prioritize clients, third parties and segments for acceptance expansion by assessing revenue opportunity and strategic importance
  • Drive revenue generating outcomes: 
    • Consultatively identifying client’s needs and crafting customized solutions that grow the business and increase satisfaction with Visa products and services
    • Launch pilots of new and existing propositions to test new concepts and use these as a foundation for commercial launches and to showcase Visa capabilities
    • Responsible to build a deal pipeline to generate services revenues such as Push Payment (Visa Direct), Open Banking, Tokens, Click to Pay and Acceptance Solutions.

 

Establish strong internal and external partnerships: 

  • You will establish strong internal and external partnerships 
  • Account management of key clients
  • Manage Visa’s internal and external partners (merchants, aggregators, etc.) to deliver compelling solutions and support their delivery
  • Conduct cross-functional due diligence efforts with prospective partners, including financial, product, technical & systems assessments
  • Lead and support external discussions around acceptance solutions
  • Lead research projects to collate data from multiple sources to inform acceptance strategy and turn data into insights

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

What we're after..

  • Experience in cards and payments industries with a specific focus on the acceptance environment in Austria
  • Proven track record in developing client relationships and sales partnerships
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with a partner’s executives to present Visa’s strategic vision and negotiate effectively on behalf of the company
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across functions and geographies
  • Be open minded and excited about the future technologies, willing to learn and work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Analytical, problem solving and project management skills
  • A team player who is able to develop strong internal and external relationships ensuring uptake and delivery of Visa solutions. Effective influencing and communication skills to secure buy-in from clients and stakeholders
  • Hands-on attitude and willingness to go the extra mile
  • Educated to degree level or hold equivalent professional experience
