Job Description

Visa Direct is a payment service that Visa provides to clients (sending and receiving financial institutions, processors, merchants and service providers) to facilitate fund transfers/disbursements to accounts around the world using push payment technology. Visa Direct consumer and business applications include person-to-person (P2P) transfer, cross border payments, person to micro-business transfer (e.g. payouts to shared economy providers), funds disbursement (e.g. insurance claim disbursements), and more.  The push payments market is estimated to be more than 80 Trillion USD of payment volume globally.

This role will be responsible for technical and product assessment, solutioning for new products in North America for both domestic and cross-border use cases. Driving solutioning with early adopter clients as part of integrated product offering for maximizing best outcomes for clients and creating business value for Visa Direct in North America. This involves advancing the client solutioning practice and creating/enhancing the money movement flows through product, technology, processes, and people.

 

Succeeding in this role requires close collaboration with product managers, engineers, and various stakeholders to analyze and assess technical aspects of Visa Direct's product offerings. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent product & analytical skills, and the ability to translate client needs into viable solutions.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • As a Product Manager with a solution mindset understand various Visa Direct products & services(e.g. Visa Direct Card, Accounts, Wallets, VXBS, B2B Connect, FX Services, Screening Services, Request To Pay, Alias Directory, Receiver Directed Payouts etc) at a deeper product and technical level and assess for readiness in the context of Visa Direct. Understand any product gaps and propose options to bridge the gaps.

 

  • Work closely with clients(Traditional banks, Remitters, Issuer and Acquirer Processors, Payment Facilitators, 3rd party Technology providers, Fintechs, NeoBanks etc) in terms of understanding client requirements & issues. Ability to synthesize requirements and propose multiple viable solution options & recommendations

 

  • Be pro-active, ask right questions to quickly get to the crux of the problem and be adept in client conversations

 

  • Have a can-do attitude to roll-up your sleeves with limited supervision and drive towards an end goal in a fast-paced environment

 

  • Create and deploy client solutions to process VisaDirect transactions successfully through its delivery lifecycle (from concept thru design, development, launch and post-launch)

 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional business, product, technology, client services & other teams to drive best in class client solutions & product offerings

 

  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders at various levels (including executive leadership)

 

  • Work closely with companies that are market moving, domestic & cross border payments innovators and on projects that have high visibility and impact.  Be motivated to managing high profile, complex projects relatively independently. 

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :

5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Hands-on Software development/Software architecture experience (present or past)
Strong technical knowledge of Restful APIs and/or ISO 8583, ISO 20022 required
Demonstrated ability to understand and deep dive into technical details when required
Have basic or core product management skills having launched products, features and/or enhancements


Preferred Qualifications :

6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
Minimum 3 years of industry experience in product management, product development, and payments processing with expertise in product and feature launches.
Possess good knowledge of VisaNet(VIP, BASE II, File exchange) processing, RTP, ACH, SWIFT, Cross-Border processing and schemes
Well versed with money-movement with a special emphasis and subject matter expertise in debit, credit, cross-border money movement and digital products.
Experience with direct interaction with clients in terms of product and/or technical solution engagements
Strong attention to detail, and excellent client communication skills
Willingness to lead by example, focused on product quality and obsessed with product impact for clients
Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong focus on outcomes
Demonstrated thought leadership and the aptitude to think creatively and identify new ways to innovate and differentiate products with evidence of tangible business results
Comfortable leading end to end and working closely with cross-functional teams
Ability to inspire and influence those without direct management responsibility in a matrixed organization
Passionate about what you do and excited about the opportunity to transform payments
Strong team player, self-motivated and the ability to work independently at coordinating cross functional activities, data collection, buy-in and strong decision-making abilities to elevate issues at critical junctures appropriately

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 105,800.00 to 149,550.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
