Job Description

Role Summary

The role holder will be responsible for the Sourcing and supporting category management including strategy and planning, governance, strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management and stakeholder engagement, ensuring full accountability for stakeholders’ experience and contribution to building Europe Sourcing team positive brand.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Lead and further develop the category area
  • Develop and execute on category strategies and plans
  • Guide, share the knowledge with dedicated to the Category support team
  • Act as Business Partner to the HR People (HR) team, leading from the front and ensuring the back-end process efficiencies.
  • Deliver financial and other values to the business through introduction of leading practices 
  • Embed in the category and deliver on ESG, focusing on Sustainability & Supplier Diversity objectives
  • Drive continues improvements and support digitalisation, working close colleagues in the regional and global teams
  • Contribute to the overall success of the Visa Europe Sourcing team.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level.
  • Postgraduate procurement accreditation (MCIPS or MIIAPS) is a plus
  • Advanced procurement and sourcing technical and analytical skills
  • Experience in services, “indirect” procurement, particularly Legal Services is a plus
  • Project Leadership skills with experience in delivering large and complex sourcing projects.
  • Experience working across multiple geographies in Europe and in a matrix organisation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to build collaborative relationships
  • Knowledge of SAP Ariba is a plus
  • Energy, pace, and an impeccable track record of delivery
