We are seeking a People Advisor with a client- centric mindset to provide advisory services to People leader in Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific (AuNZSP) market. Visa’s People Advisory team is focused on balancing our capability, capacity and delivery of Visa’s people agenda through people related services & solutions for our clients. This is a key function that supports our People Team transformation and will continue to evolve and expand as the team grows and solidifies
What a Manager, People Advisor does at Visa
As a Manager, People Advisor, you are a core member of the People Advisor team and play an integral role in the success of the overall team. You will provide guidance and support to People Leaders to champion Visa’s culture, build engagement and effectiveness within respective organizations, help develop a strong bench of future leaders, and implement standardized policies, guidelines, practices, and procedures. Responsibilities will include.
- Partnering with leaders, and teams to deliver people plans, programs and processes. This role will deliver high impact People programs, blended with an operational focus
- Single point of accountability for executing key services which include but are not limited to individual talent development advisory, workforce planning, annual compensation review, performance management, employee engagement, annual talent management review, bi-annual promotion cycle, conflict resolution, and other policy interpretation and consultation.
- Support PBP to deliver change agenda, people priorities and interventions.
- Coach people leaders on a variety of people-related situations including performance management, conflict resolution, talent development, annual review support, etc.
- Coach and develop strong, empathetic leaders to ensure people leaders have the attributes aligned to Visa’s Leadership Principles. Facilitates coaching and training as needed
- Lead efforts with People Leaders to facilitate effective management of teams and resolve issues that may arise in the workplace between employees and leaders
- Provide detailed analytics and interpretation of data to drive informed business decisions, ensure operational excellence in reporting and data management
- Respond to inquiries and provide overall cross functional support as needed, partner with COEs and the business to design and deliver best in class People initiatives
- Operates as the central point of contact for all compliance and mandatory reporting in the market.
- Ensures Visa’s values and culture initiatives are embedded in processes, champions - inclusion, and identifies opportunities to improve culture and experience
Qualifications
- 8+ year's experience as a HR generalist in a large, matrixed, and high growth organization
- Proven knowledge of Australia and NZ HR landscape and local employment rights, experience of operating across multiple markets will be critical
- Prior experience in partnering with managers to drive people processes and programs.
- Experience in working across People Team disciplines and other stakeholders in support of building manager capabilities
- Proven ability to work and manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong interpersonal skills, relationship building skills and ability to influence at all levels (people leaders, BPO, Finance CoEs, PBPs, People Solutions team, employees)
- Strong influencing, coaching and communication skills, grounded in an ability to build credibility and creating trusted client partnerships built on a mix of challenge and support.
- Disciplined and efficient program execution and someone who has high attention to detail to ensure accuracy of what is being delivered
- Experience in talent and organization strategy execution
- Adaptability and agility – comfort with ambiguity
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to aid in business decision making
- Self-starter who has a process orientation and drive standardization, improvement
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, Powerpoint)
