Job Description
Execute daily payment processing tasks, including Faster Payments, International Payments/SWIFT, ACH domestic payments, and global real-time payment schemes, ensuring compliance with agreed cut-offs.
Manage incoming liquidity within agreed timescales.
Conduct investigations and resolve payment exceptions (e.g., rejections, returns, failures, etc.) accurately.
Upload Network Partner statements, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
Correspond and liaise with internal teams as well as directly with Network Partners to resolve issues promptly and minimize service/client impact.
Develop a basic understanding of the payment platforms and our Network Partners across the globe.
Identify and suggest improvements to processes, workflows, and tooling.
Support the identification, management, and resolution of service-affecting incidents.
Collaborate with other internal teams, including Compliance, Reconciliation, Incident Management, and Customer Support, to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Report on daily challenges, workloads, and improvement ideas to the Payment Team Lead.
This is a hybrid position. You will be working weekends as well as 3 days mid week. Either Wednesday to Sunday or Saturday to Wednesday.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of banking software and payment processing systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards is a plus
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities
- Enthusiasm for learning and developing skills in payment processing
