The Real Time Payments Manager reports to the Global Head of Real Time Payments and is responsible for executing and delivering on Visa’s regional and domestic expansion programmes to underpin Visa's networks and businesses. Driving Visa’s agenda across this space together with strategic partners, industry bodies and regulatory authorities.

The candidate will be an experienced market-facing professional with deep expertise across money movement, real time payment schemes, and related market-specific aspects such as regulatory considerations.  A deep understanding of payments is required at both a strategic and operational level, together with practical experience in this space.

The candidate will manage a range of internal initiatives, partnering closely with teams across Visa Direct Solutions, Product, Technology and Legal/Regulatory.  The candidate will have strong strategic management experience in complex change initiatives in a global matrix organization, managing dependencies across internal and external teams, as well as across the Product portfolio to drive growth-oriented prioritization and execution.

The candidate will be expected to deliver near-term results and establish a basis for long-term growth through scalable delivery and commercial approaches.

Core Responsibilities

This will be a high profile, multidisciplinary role and will require an experienced candidate who will:

  • Manage and deliver upon Visa Direct’s Real-Time Payment expansion activities

  • Execute upon expansion activities to facilitate connectivity across target markets

  • Manage the internal alignment with cross-functional stakeholders, including Product, Regulatory, Compliance, Commercial, Operations

  • Enable data driven decisions across the portfolio by delivering strategic change

  This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in implementing new digital payments solutions such as real time/faster payments
  • Highly skilled in the knowledge of various payment technologies and trends in new payment flows globally
  • Outstanding executive communication skills to develop presentations and associated summaries,
  • A self-starter who takes accountability for getting things done 
  • Top-notch stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence colleagues
  • Analytical and commercially sharp 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional structure and attention to detail 
  • Strong active listening and communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation necessary
