Job Description

As the Manager, Global Sales Acceleration- Visa Value Added Services (VAS), you will be responsible for the development and delivery of deployable, repeatable, and scalable sales plays and programs to grow global sales bookings and revenue at an accelerated pace. Reporting to the Director, Global Sales Acceleration, you will work in close collaboration with Sales Acceleration team members and partners across various functions including, Regional Go to Market, Sales, Marketing, Enablement, Operations, Business Intelligence and Product, to drive sales performance aligned with Global and Regional priorities. The role will operate globally, supporting each of Visa’s key regions including North America, Latin America, Asia Pacific, Europe, and Central Europe, Middle East and Africa. Your role is critical to helping to create strong connective tissue between regional and global teams through managing the development and delivery of sales programs and scalable best practices, tools and resources. You will build cross-functional relationships supporting the development of sales plays and programs focused on VAS sales priorities, engaging stakeholders through strong collaboration, communication and teamwork.

You have a deep understanding of sales methodologies and proven experience partnering with and inspiring sales teams at the Regional Leader, Functional Leader, VP and Account Executive level. Operating with a strong bias for action, you are a highly-effective program leader with a proven track record of leading sales programs and motions that have delivered tangible impact to sales pipeline, booking and revenue targets in fast-paced environments with demanding timelines.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Champion, create and evolve sales acceleration motions and programs for the VAS organization

  • Partner and collaborate with peers and executive stakeholders within the Sales Acceleration team, as well as in other functional areas (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Product, Analytics, Business Intelligence, Enablement, Value Engineering) and across global and regional teams to deliver impactful sales programs

  • Manage sales plays and ensure sales programs and solution campaigns are efficiently packaged, communicated and delivered to global sales teams and deployed in market

  • Interact with the Regional teams and serve as the central point of contact for region-sponsored sales plays

  • Lead the requirements gathering, development, deployment and ongoing management of sales plays and programs supporting VAS global and regional priorities

  • Create sales acceleration tools and materials, including conversation guides, toolkits, pitch materials, and ad hoc resources to support sales motion activities

  • Leverage data to measure and report on the sales play progress, including sharing insights and analyses with executive and sales stakeholders

  • Facilitate and actively promote sharing of best practices and influence sales play adoption across Regions

  • Contribute to building a culture of collaboration and mutual accountability across Visa’s VAS organization and beyond

Key Competencies:

  • Demonstrated experience in sales business strategy with proven ability to develop and deliver enterprise-wide sales programs leveraging sales methodologies.

  • Executive presence including excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, and ability to communicate at all levels within large organizations

  • Proven experience managing competing programs and initiatives and aligning focus based on top business priorities

  • Experience in leading cross-functional initiatives and facilitating collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, Technology and Customer Service organizations

  • Demonstrated project management skills given that this role involves managing multiple projects with multiple stakeholders simultaneously

  • Have an entrepreneurial approach and vision, proactive self-starter seeking initiatives to advance

  • Ability to communicate in an efficient and effective way across audiences at multiple levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify opportunities to scale and apply insights across programs

  • Strong team player, self-motivated with the ability to work independently at coordinating across functional activities, obtain buy-in and elevate issues at critical junctures appropriately

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD

• Expert level in sales program development and program management
• Creative self-starter with a bias toward action and proven track record at developing and leading global large enterprise scale programs
• Prior experience working collaboratively with sales stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Ability to navigate in a highly matrixed global organization and drive results, ensuring that milestones are adhered to and risks to the project are called out early
• Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills a plus
• Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus
• Client-facing sales experience a plus
• Prior experience in banking / payments, sales, and client facing roles are a plus

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 112,500 to 191,800 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
