Payment Products Development (PPD) is at the heart of making Visa the best way to pay and be paid for everyone, everywhere. We are a globally distributed division of over 2,000 team members within Visa’s Technology organization. We partner throughout the rest of the business to design, build, and support the global payment processing systems that drive Visa.

This role involves leading people and performing technical tasks in the Payment Products Development Cybersecurity & Compliance (PPDCC) team. In management mode (50% of time) you will collaborate with the Director of PPDCC to provide management guidance to staff in the Bangalore office and prioritize their work. And, as a technical expert, you will provide solutions that create PPD-wide standards for consistent, scalable, efficient handling of cybersecurity and compliance work across the division.
In this role you will:
- Provide direct leadership and motivation to an experienced team of individuals, through mentorship, management, and setting clear priorities to achieve group goals.
- Help ensure all security findings, system vulnerabilities, technical security requirements and exceptions for the Payment Products Development division are managed to the Required Remediation Date (RRD) or with an approved exception.
- Prescribe security improvements for Payment Products Development environments to resolve or mitigate security findings or otherwise enhance security posture to achieve compliance with all security initiatives.
- Respond to urgent Cyber Security, Audit, Risk, Compliance and Operational Resiliency issues at any time, and escalate them as required.
- Lead innovation efforts to increase efficiencies and automate manual processes.
- Build an extensive network of positive relationships throughout Visa and its Technology organizations to be leveraged to accomplish the broad requirements of this position.
- Lead liaison activities between Cybersecurity and Risk teams, Operations & Infrastructure, and our Payment Products Development teams in the Asia-Pacific region and enable cross-team communications with our developers, Security Architects, PEN Testers, Security Assessors, Risk and Governance teams, etc.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of
relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more
years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD,
MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
• Working knowledge of all major cybersecurity domains: Security & Risk
Management, Asset Security, Security Architecture & Engineering,
Communications & Network Security, Identity & Access Management, Security
Assessment & Testing, Security Operations, and Software Development
Security
• Excellent verbal and written communications
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and
Word
• Able to be effective in a high-paced environment and multi-task while staying
focused on deliverables and deadlines
• Self-directed problem solver with excellent judgement: you excel at solving
problems independently and collaborating appropriately to ensure optimal
decisions and outcomes for the organization
• Proven ability to mentor/manage and motivate a team of experienced
technologists and set clear priorities to achieve group goals
• Background in data science, product management, and / or intermediate programming
• Two to three years of operational and/or technology work experience
• Two to three years of regulatory and / or compliance work related to cybersecurity,
familiarity with CIS, ISO 27001, and SOC frameworks is of particular interest to PPDCC
