Job Description

The M&A HR Senior Integration Manager will be responsible for driving a successful integration of employees into Visa. This individual will work closely with People Business Partners and Advisors, People Team Centers of Excellence (COE) Peers, Cross-Functional Peers, and Acquired Company Peers and employees.

He/she will support end-to-end integration activities across multiple acquisitions as part of the Visa People Team. This person will have the opportunity to proactively influence the direction of Visa’s M&A People programs and is expected to innovate and continuously improve on policies and processes that will make the People M&A practice at Visa better.

The ideal candidate for this role has a breadth of knowledge across all HR functional areas and can draw connections between cross-functional dependencies.  

Responsibilities:

  • Define best practices for managing interim operating procedures between Visa People Team COEs and acquired company until integration milestones are achieved.
  • Prepare and distribute various reports and reports/updates on the status of the integrations for various audiences, including executive management & functional management.  Openly and effectively flag when projects are at risk and demonstrate pro-active problem-solving abilities in such situations.
  • Represent the Visa People team in cross-functional integration forums and partner with cross-functional peers to ensure a smooth transition for acquired employees.
  • Consult with others on development and execution of complex program/project plans.
  • Ensure that interdependencies are recognized, and tasks are integrated.
  • Perform critical path analysis and develop action plans to mitigate risk.  Identify and implement alternative solutions.
  • Develop strong stakeholder relationships and maintain effective communication channels -- this includes working proactively with stakeholders to resolve critical issues.
  • Planning, coordination and hands-on execution with HR Operations/Systems and HRIS teams on “Day 1” readiness for onboarding acquired employees.
  • In addition to cross-People team engagement, ongoing collaboration and operational support in driving integration execution with cross-functional partners across Finance, Technology, Legal and Integration Management Office (IMO) teams.
  • Partner with Compensation Team members, People Business Partners, and M&A deal team on job mapping and development of retention programs for acquired companies.
  • Support the transition to Visa’s annual compensation planning cycle, including the rollout of guidelines and delivery of compensation decision-making and processes for base pay (merit) & promotion adjustments, short-term incentives and long-term incentives.
  • Participate in benefits gap analysis and harmonization efforts.
  • Manage M&A HR analytics efforts including tracking acquired employee retention and engagement.
  • Manage deal records and update M&A HR approaches with an eye for continual process improvement.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ of work experience in at least two of the following areas: HR Operations / Systems, Total Rewards (Compensation & Benefits), Mergers & Acquisitions HR, HR Business Partner/Generalist
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to break down complex problems into executable solutions
  • Demonstrated project management capability
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to execute under pressure
  • Strong communications skills – written and verbal
  • Cross-cultural awareness and understanding
  • Ability to work independently and with a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with working in a matrixed organization is a plus
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Workday HCM/HRIS and reporting experience

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 133,000.00 to 192,950.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
