Job Description

Commercial Money Movements charter is to capture new sources of money movement through card and non-card flows, including Visa Direct, Visa commercial Solutions and Government Solutions which presents an enormous growth opportunity. Our team brings payment solutions and associated services to clients around the globe.  Our global clients and partners deploy our solutions to serve the needs of Small Businesses, Middle Market Clients, Large Corporate Clients, Multi Nationals and Governments.

 The Visa Direct team is a world-class technology organization experiencing tremendous, double-digit growth as we expand products into new payment flows and continue to grow our core card solutions. This is an incredibly exciting team to join as we expand globally. Key responsibilities includes

 

  • Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks. Drive development of product innovation.
  • Collaborate with product and development teams to drive the technical roadmap. Architecture and design of product capabilities including batch, streaming engines, transaction processing, web-based application, Distributed Data Systems, & Observability
  • Business and technical analysis, design, coding, unit testing, implementation, and documentation of solutions for new development, system enhancements, and production support
  • Identify opportunities for future enhancements and refinements to standards, best practices, automation, and development methodologies.
  • Coaching, mentoring junior team members, code reviews, and evolving team talent pipeline.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 7 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 4 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 13+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
• Minimum 12 years of experience in design and development of large-scale enterprise products, highly scalable and resilient applications using Java/J2EE and opensource technologies.
• Proficient with web development, cloud computing, databases, and APIs.
• Proficient in JDK17, Spring boot, Reactive Programming, Hibernate and SQL
• Proficient in middleware technologies like Kafka message broker, Distributed Cache, NOSQL DBs
• Demonstrated knowledge of Web Services Development using REST, Gprc,
• Experience developing Generative AI products and using GH Copilot in software development life cycle.
• Proficient in leading the application security designs and implementations and performance optimizations of large-scale distributed systems.
• Ability to solve complex software development/design problems. Ability to lead the application observability including alerting and monitoring of application.
• Ability to lead or influence the CI/CD pipelines for continuous application delivery in a Kubernetes orchestration environment.
• Expert knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Ability to write clean, coherent code following established coding guidelines.
• Outstanding verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, and interaction skills, including ability to effectively communicate architectural and design issues and concepts to multiple organization levels and executive management through presentations and diagrams.
• Have high sense of accountability for quality and timeliness of one’s own deliverables and team deliverables.
• Ability to deliver on multiple projects and manage priorities based on changing directions.
• Previous experience in the Payment industry products is a plus.
