Job Description

The Global Money Movement Commercialization team plays a critical role in growing the business.  The team is responsible for go-to-market strategy and commercialization of Money Movement products across existing and new use cases and verticals. The team is comprised of a diverse group of global payments strategists and is responsible for: 1) Owning the go-to-market strategy across all use cases and segments, 2) Leading the activation of this strategy in coordination with cross-functional stakeholders, 3) Driving insights and business intelligence that informs how our business competes to achieve our short-term to long-term objectives.

The successful applicant will be a key team member of the Global Money Movement Commercialization team. The successful candidate will be responsible for becoming a subject matter expert in the use cases and markets that are high priority for the growth of our Money Movement business, understanding the ecosystem, the value proposition of our products, our competitor's offerings to serve the segment and what is needed to successfully grow in the specific use case and market.

 

While being in a very complex and critical position at Visa, you will excel at handling ambiguity and uncertainty. You know what it is like to start something from scratch, growing it structurally and methodically, and implementing impactful strategic plans. We are looking for people who have been directly involved in scaling a business or product through strategic analysis and implementation, and also exhibit a vigorous curiosity to maintain the Visa network as the best way to pay and be paid.

Essential Functions

  • You will own use case value proposition positioning, including strategy and growth optimization.

  • Own the launch and growth of emerging, high growth use cases globally.

  • Coordinate work across Visa’s internal teams such as Product, Marketing, Sales, and regional teams to manage market strategy workstreams.

  • Create global go-to-market plans to scale specific Money Movement use cases, using a targeted approach for partners who can offer our Money Movement solutions in addition to existing payment services.

  • Lead use case strategy research and analysis, informing multiple stakeholders of insights across markets related to the commercial opportunity for a specific use case, including market prioritization, commercial approach, competitive positioning, monetization strategies, among others.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 10 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an advanced degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
• 12 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or 8-10 years of experience with an advanced segree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
• Ability to independently lead and manage projects with multiple work streams, with proven leadership success over a wide variety of functional business problems
• Strong global business acumen and ease of communicating cross-culturally
• Ability to structure and manage complex cross-enterprise projects and processes with multiple stakeholders
• Passionate about working with colleagues across the globe to develop go-to-market and growth strategies for a rapidly growing business unit
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
• Ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to management and external business partners globally
• Self-starter, team oriented, collaborative, and driven
• Top communication skills, including oral, writing and presentation capabilities
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration capabilities

• Experience in and a passion for payments, financial services and fintech
• Strong acumen in business and commercial strategy, especially in Business-to-Business within financial services and fintech

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 150,400 to 256,500 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
