Job Description

The Value Added Services (VAS) Global Finance team serves as a partner for executives and provides finance support for teams that are propelling growth at Visa. We are an agile, highly visible team that collaborates across functions/product lines and plays a key role in providing financial planning, month-end reporting, and financial advisory for key decisions to business leaders. As a business partner, we cultivate operational business partnerships to drive strategic and financial thought leadership and to successfully complete financial planning processes such as budgeting/actuals and long-term growth models.

As a Finance Manager, you will serve as a strategic finance partner with a view toward helping accelerate growth on this key area of expansion for the company. You will work closely with product managers, regional & corporate finance teams, and marketing/sales to understand product performance, ongoing risks, opportunities, and areas of investment to help accelerate growth.

Essential Functions:

  • Drive coordination, organization and execution of quantitative and qualitative analyses on both revenues and expenses. Examples of activities include traditional budgeting and forecasting, enhanced financial/business reporting, business case development, long-term growth forecasts, pricing analysis, P&L generation and business planning support
  • Build relationships and network with a broad base of team members (e.g., operational executives/staff, controllership, other finance teams) in the business and be the point of contact for finance issues
  • Demonstrate a deep knowledge of the strategies, priorities and issues of the business. Understand individual product offerings, market dynamics, and underlying drivers
  • Identify and implement changes that improve efficiency and effectiveness of operational decision making.
  • Combine observed patterns and trends to craft accurate forecasts: be able to triangulate and exercise judgement
  • Learn and understand Visa’s financial reporting systems: run data queries, develop financial architecture, and support finance technology initiatives
  • Drive quality and efficiency improvements into standard financial processes
  • Build near and long-term views for growth that align with business strategy and data
  • Work with sales teams to understand pipelines for all Products: evaluate penetration, pricing, and opportunities for growth
  • Build business cases to support investments, go-to-market strategies and new product launches
  • Support or lead wide variety of ad hoc requests and special projects

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
• 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
• Relevant financial analysis work experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking or management consulting
• Able to rapidly establish a broad and deep understanding of the payments business landscape
• Enjoys an environment that is fast-paced, constantly evolving, and collaborative
• Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to resolve tough business problems with well-structured analyses
• High proficiency in Excel with proven track record of improving processes via automation and end-to-end efficiencies.
• Experience with sophisticated financial systems (e.g., Oracle) or data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau) a plus
• Can work independently and collaborate as part of a cross-functional, global and matrixed team
• Cultivates effective relationships and communicate cross-functionally and with all levels of management
• Highly detail oriented with excellent planning and time management skills

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 118,500.00 to 171,750.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
