Job Description

​​​​​​​We are looking for a creative and entrepreneurial product leader to develop products and services that drive innovation and growth for our Post Purchase products within Visa Acceptance Solutions. As the Director of Product, Post Purchase Platform you will provide strategic guidance and leadership for the product team within Acceptance Solutions to ensure tight linkages across product priorities, market, and customer requirements for the entire Post Purchase platform. You will collaborate with cross functional stakeholders including Visa technology teams, regional solutions teams, customer service, relationship management and sales teams to jointly leverage our respective strengths and introduce innovative post purchase product solutions in a timely fashion. You should possess knowledge of both established and emerging payments and post payment flows and the solutions utilized by merchants, resellers, enablement partners and issuers. You will have a vision for conceptualizing and developing innovative solutions that simultaneously address deep customer challenges, surpass current market offerings, and advance Visa’s business strategy. Dedication to championing the voice of the customer and delivering pioneering solutions utilizing cutting-edge payment technology is a must. You should have a track record of successfully launching platform products, from ideation to implementation, with a focus on automation.  As part of your role, you will operate in a matrixed environment, requiring the ability to communicate persuasively through both written and verbal means to align stakeholders and executives on business cases and objectives. This role is based in Foster City or Los Angeles and reports to the VP, Global Head of Post Purchase Products, at Visa Acceptance Solutions.

Responsibilities:
• Lead and coach a team of product managers to solve challenging customer and market problems with innovative and groundbreaking solutions that will propel VISA’s growth and leadership in payments. Realize these solutions by leading their development and commercialization and working closely with Product, Technology, Regional Solutions, and Sales to optimize for the market.
• Own the overall strategy and roadmap for Visa’s post purchase foundational services and experiences including stakeholder collaboration, product requirements, and new product introduction.
• Build buy-in from senior executives and key stakeholders with persuasive storytelling that brings to life the customer need, business value proposition, and revenue opportunity.
• Create an environment that fosters a continuous focus on customer and market needs, creative thinking, experimentation, and learning.
• Use metrics-driven approach to test new hypothesis and product initiatives. Encourage teams to pursue bold ideas and be fearless to fail fast and develop alternate solutions when necessary.
• Enable and empower a team to drive product decisions based on product discovery, insights, and customer journeys. Make time/functionality tradeoffs
quickly and ensure consistent execution of product plans that result in on-time and on-budget product delivery, partner with Technology to execute on a global roadmap and ensure prompt responses to urgent issues that are client and revenue impacting.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the diverse range of products and solutions that Visa provides to its clients and partners such as merchants, banks, fintechs, and big-techs.
• Collaborate with relationship management, business operations and sales leaders to learn about their market needs and leverage insights, trends, and payment experiences from different regions in developing new solutions.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• 10+ years of product management experience with a bachelor’s degree or at least 8 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or 4 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 13+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 10 years of relevant experience in platform product leadership in high growth companies, including leading products within the financial technology
industry or related industries.
• 5+ years of people management. Demonstrated experience in attracting, retaining, and developing high-performing product managers within a
diverse and inclusive environment.

Proven record of solving complex product problems from building, shipping, and scaling to later stage production successfully across functional teams.

Operate with rigor, from planning to delivery. Ensure we have robust roadmaps that align to the needs of our customers and our business, and ensure that we deliver with excellence.

Superior analytic and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated data driven aptitude and attention to detail
• Deep knowledge of payments ecosystem in particular post purchase and disputes products is a plus.
• Demonstrated thought leadership and the aptitude to think creatively and identify new ways to innovate and differentiate products with evidence
of tangible business results
• Be an example for exceptional cross-functional partnership and encourages teams to pursue bold ideas and be fearless to fail fast and develop alternate solutions when necessary.

Ability to inspire and influence others without direct management responsibility.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 196,000.00 to 284,450.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
