Job Description

Visa’s Acceptance Risk Solutions product management team is seeking a dynamic, outgoing, and creative product manager to guide clients through the integration of Visa’s risk solutions into the client’s existing fraud strategies. Experience in fraud analysis and strategy creation is key along with a passion for providing product consulting and guidance. This role interacts directly with sellers and large clients to ensure a smooth onboarding experience that goes beyond product features and into fraud management expertise. You will be responsible for meeting time-sensitive client needs, enhancing product consulting capabilities, providing direction and innovation, and ensuring client satisfaction and adoption of Visa risk solutions.

The Director, Product Management will:

  • Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their business needs and provide tailored solutions. Conduct discovery sessions to gather data and insights.
  • Data Analysis: Perform data analysis to identify key findings and actionable insights. Present these findings to clients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Product Guidance: Work closely with sellers to offer product and fraud strategy guidance and ensure that client implementations are successful and meet their needs.
  • Performance Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the performance of client implementations and the overall product against market needs and expectations. Provide recommendations for adjustments and improvements.
  • Documentation: Prepare comprehensive product documentation, including implementation guides, case studies, and feedback reports to support clients and internal teams.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all solutions comply with regional data requirements and drive research in this area.
  • Sales Alignment: Maintain a clear understanding of the sales pipeline and collaborate with the sales team to align product features and capabilities with market opportunities.

Essential Function:

  • Significant fraud/risk industry or domain expertise
  • Robust capacity for action-focused analysis of large data sets
  • Capable of quickly converting analysis findings and process research into a coherent fraud strategy
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

This client-facing position requires a balance of strong analytical skills and excellent communication abilities. The ideal candidate for this role is an energetic and quick-thinking individual with a knack for strategic creativity. The Director, Product will play a crucial role in ensuring that Visa’s risk solutions meet client needs and expectations through effective product execution and continuous improvement. Their outgoing personality and clever problem-solving abilities provide them with a strong ability to provide guidance and advocate for effective product implementations.

Additional Notes: This role involves a deep understanding of fraud strategy and analysis and how those apply to client success.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years’ experience in Product Strategy/Management, Program Management, or Fraud Management
  • Bias for action and able to move quickly
  • Creative and clever thinker with a sense of humor
  • Polished professional presence with the ability to interact comfortably at the executive level
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Capable of quickly comprehending complex concepts and translating into simple summaries
  • Demonstrated success in networking and building strategic partnerships within the fraud/risk industry
  • Experience in presenting complex information to various audiences
  • Track record of engaging with fraud/risk industry analysts
  • Experience in user engagement and leveraging user feedback for strategic opportunities
  • Demonstrated success in driving product positioning and market growth
  • Extensive experience in conducting market research and utilizing data to drive product strategy
  • Able to translate product strategy into execution
  • Experience in collaborating on successful marketing campaigns and utilizing marketing mechanisms
  • Lay understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning, or statistical models
  • Deep understanding of risk solutions and their applications
  • Experience with Visa products and services
  • Direct, hands-on experience with development, deployment, or configuration of products or programs to meet objectives (risk-related preferred but not required)

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is USD 160,600 to USD 232,900 per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
