Job Description

  • Lead North American device and token authentication solutions
  • Work as a technical expert for the NA Product team to design, implement and execute token and device authentication projects in key emerging growth areas and with key technical partners.
  • Lead Proofs of Concepts, industry working groups, and external pilots aimed at testing and validating technical solutions for consumer recognition and authentication through digital channels.
  • Provide SME support for cross-functional teams, assisting clients in implementing Visa’s authentication solutions and other products.
  • Ensure internal technical/operational stakeholders are ready to support token-based transactions in mobile wallets, e-commerce wallets and other e-commerce endeavors. Provide subject matter expertise and 3rd level problem resolution as required.
  • Support the internal operational teams in being the escalation point for problem resolution, while also working with local and global SME’s in devising long-term solutions and BAU processes to reduce incidents in new implementations.
  • Track any program level issues to final resolution with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide inputs and updates to EMV and token technical documentation to reflect new functionality as dictated by Global Product development teams.
  • Support regional rollouts on strategic initiatives, such as Visa Flexible Credential, Tap-to-Everything, and Visa Passkeys.
  • Support Digital Identity initiatives.

  • Provide Visa strategic direction on Open Banking
    • Become a subject matter expert (SME) on Visa’s technical and business products, processes, and services in Open Banking.
    • Work with cross-functional stakeholders on evaluating opportunities in Open Banking.
    • Work closely with industry and internal stakeholders across the organization to understand market needs and improve solutions with enhancements that lead to better competitiveness and go‐to‐market offerings.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
• Deep knowledge of and experience with EMV, token and Visa CNP solutions
• Good understanding of payment networks or payment processing systems
• Be self-motivated, and demonstrate the ability to influence and communicate effectively across functional lines to ensure all participants and stakeholders deliver as planned
• Experience in delivering quality product integrations within scope and on time
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and presentation skills, and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively
• Strategic planning experience, including the development and implementation of process improvements within product management or sales is desirable
• Willingness and ability to learn and adapt to future business priorities
• Believe passionately in the transformative power of technology in the world
• Have a proven track record implementing innovative systems
• Can track/manage concurrent projects to different schedules and timelines
• Can clearly articulate and document requirements to client stakeholders of various levels and abilities
• Can define and implement regional/global processes
• Have an open mind to understand existing, emerging, and future technologies for payments
• Prior experience in the payments space, including Industry relationships with integrators and solution vendors
• Understanding Open Banking
• Understanding of FIDO

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 163,800.00 to 237,550.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
