Job Description

As the Director of Integrated Search Strategy, you will be responsible for increasing Visa’s search traffic through complementary organic and paid strategies. You will identify synergies across Search channels to uncover gaps and opportunities to maximize reach and optimize spend. You will run paid advertising campaigns to increase qualified traffic and conversions to Visa.com.

As a key member of the global Visa.com Operations, the selected candidate will partner closely with global Visa.com content owners, regional Visa.com leads and other key corporate functions to establish organic and paid search strategies and then strategically oversee execution based on the aligned strategy. This individual will partner closely with agencies, managed services teams and internal Technology partners to closely lead and coordinate efforts worldwide.

This position will report into the Senior Director of Visa.com Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Keyword Research: Conduct comprehensive keyword research to identify high-impact keywords and phrases aligned to searcher intent & Visa priorities.
  • Paid Search Advertising: Create, manage, and optimize paid advertising campaigns, such as Google Ads and targeted display ads to maximize ROI. Drive paid visibility where we cannot compete organically. Manage and allocate budgets for paid advertising campaigns effectively.
  • SEO Optimization: Collaborate with the content creators to develop SEO-friendly content. Optimize website content to improve search engine rankings and user experience. Identify and resolve technical SEO issues, such as crawl errors, broken links, and site speed optimization.
  • Link Building: Build and manage a high-quality backline profile through outreach, partnerships, and content promotion.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Lead market insights & create integrated dashboards to deliver a comprehensive view of SEO and SEM performance.
  • Algorithm Updates: Stay up to date with search engine algorithm updates and industry best practices to ensure compliance and adapt our strategies accordingly.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Partner closely with agencies, cross-functional partners and Marketing team members worldwide to deliver an aligned strategy and oversee/support execution worldwide.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • Proven expertise in using SEO /SEM tools and platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Brightedge, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of on-page and off-page SEO best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills and effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data and analytics to inform Search strategies & ongoing optimization.
  • Deep understanding of digital platforms, technologies, and emerging trends in the global search landscape.
  • In-depth understanding of Card / Payments Marketing fundamentals.
  • Strong digital acumen, outcomes-driven, and ability to use data to prove what is –or isn’t—working.
  • Global sensibilities and empathetic outlook to work well with other markets and cultures around the world.
  • A strong public speaker, comfortable and poised in front of large groups with the ability to clearly communicate compelling messages up, down, and across the organization.
  • Advanced level of Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Search tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Extremely organized with quick follow through and a bias towards action.
  • Strong working relationships with and management of external agency partners.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 143,700.00 to 187,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
