As a Client Engagement Strategist, you will be at the forefront in shaping interactions with our key clients in North America (NA) Visa Direct (VD). Your main responsibility will be to craft compelling, persuasive storytelling and narratives that align Visa solutions with the needs and goals of our top clients. The successful candidate will spearhead and guide our teams to obsess about our clients, creating experiences that highlight the potential of enhanced engagement between clients and Visa.

The role reports to the NAVD Chief of Staff and part of the Business Strategy and Planning Office, comprised of payments professionals with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills dedicated to achieving our high growth goals for Visa Direct.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development and execution success of pitches to senior client executives of our most critical sales opportunities, directing meeting agenda, content and Visa storyline

  • Spearhead and create a cohesive and compelling unified money movement narrative by engaging and rallying multiple senior leaders at Visa across sales, product and marketing

  • Lead and coordinate the development and design of high-impact pitch decks and presentations for key client/prospects, drawing on market insights and client strategies

  • Identify target segments to engage from a wide range of new sales and up/cross sell opportunities to create new sales and revenue generating prospects, and set strategic direction on the effective pitch approach

  • Understand the business needs and objectives of our key clients to tailor presentations and pitches accordingly

  • Work closely with creative teams to shape, polish and ship impactful experiences and business development assets

  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information and data to create persuasive narratives

  • Create and develop storylines and narratives to showcase money movement to internal sales leadership where needed

  • Develop and disseminate best practices to empower business development and account managers across the team to utilize strategies for client engagement

  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of our client engagement strategies, making improvements as necessary

  • Contribute to the development of go-to-market strategies and collateral, providing feedback from client engagements

  • Continuously review the NA payment landscape and recommend, develop, and implement new and creative approaches to growing Visa's money movement business

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of all Visa Direct products and services

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
• 7+ years of experience in client-facing roles or internal marketing, communications, business development or other similar roles
• Payments industry experience preferred
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proactive self-starter who takes ownership of their own learning and success
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong team player, self-motivated and the ability to work independently at coordinating cross
functional activities, obtain buy-in and elevate issues at critical junctures appropriately

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 146,900.00 to 213,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
