VCA Managed Services (VMS) is a critical component of our VCA strategy, providing our clients with the execution muscle they require to enhance performance and increase profitability.  VMS brings the ‘best of Visa’ to the clients, playing the role of orchestration layer between client teams and Visa subject matter experts (SMEs).  As clients confront increased challenges in their operating environment whilst also facing capacity constraints and capability gaps, VMS helps to drive implementation or delivery of their strategic initiatives, facilitating significant and tangible value creation.

What a Director, Client Consulting for Visa Education and Training Services does at Visa:

A Director of Greater China consulting group for Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) will perform consulting engagements and delivery for Visa clients in Greater China, this includes providing industry training and contents for our client who are working in payment domain of financial industry, this job needs to apply best out-of-box training materials and tailor-made solution/training for our clients. Those contents include digital transformation, product innovation, payment solution, etc. These will help Visa clients to control and mitigate their financial exposure while maintain and improved profitability.

Potential engagements and training materials could include payment digital strategy and transformation consulting, portfolio and product management related business process re-engineering, data consulting, customer segmentation, and customer experience diagnostic, development of industry landscape evaluations and best practices, and consulting projects management.    
 

Working with VCA leaders in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and across different regions, This Director will be responsible for significant components of client engagements, and in some cases entire end-to-end delivery of client engagements. Specifically, this will involve interacting with senior management team of clients at C level, different business units of clients, gathering from presale engagement to strategic planning, from business requirements analysis to manage project deliverables. This will require a full interaction not only with clients but also with Visa internal teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and generate client engagements with out-of-box training course and tailored training solutions, able to sell and delivery the plan, identifying dependencies, roles, and responsibilities for engagement to fulfill this engagement
  • Actively engage in the actual delivery during the project/training life cycle, mitigating / resolving complex problems that emerge during engagements
  • Undertake senior management interviewing, collecting, and analyzing input such as client problem scope, data, existing business processes, competitive and environmental information
  • Create, develop training strategy and solution, contribute to IP creation and standardized VCA and Visa product offerings for future replication
  • Continuously build knowledge, surfacing new insights and producing thought leadership pieces that contribute to practice development
  • Identify solutions and recommendations that are linked to client objectives and career and skill development, and result in performance improvement at work
  • Create compelling presentations to illustrate training contents, recommendations, objectives that aligned with all trainees who participated those training
  • Collaborate with CRM/AE and other functional teams to gain full support to our client engagement and execution

VCA Managed Service (VMS) is scaling rapidly across the AP region providing clients a full cycle solution for the implementation of enterprise programs and portfolio strategies.  Managed Services acts as a true extension of Visa Clients’ team bringing together expertise, capabilities, resources, and scale to enhance performance and increase profitability.  Managed Services engagements cover a wide variety of client strategic imperatives, from driving profitable lifecycle programs, to implementation of new capabilities or Visa products, to building new digital customer journeys.  VMS not only drives significant partnership value and strengthens Visa’s relationships with our clients, but it also enables rapid implementation of key priorities, which drive incremental revenue back to both the client as well as Visa.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

A Director of Greater China consulting group for Visa Managed Service:

Having already accumulated a variety of experience, you will be curious about the payment industry and keen to work alongside an experienced team in gaining a deeper understanding. You will be comfortable in presale consulting engagement, delivery of a project, managing a project end to end and relish the opportunity to work closely with clients to influence their future performance. As a Director for your practice, you should be a strong leader in leading large consulting team, working with client senior management team, and internal client relationship and account executives in Visa.

Specific requirements are:

• Significant experience in management or technology consulting related to payment industry, and in depth knowledge of payment industry for product and portfolio management
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
• Must be team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, able to work effectively in matrixed organization
• Excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities
• Self-motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently
• Strong leadership with ambitious to build and grow team capacity and capability

In addition, you will have:

• Language skills – strong English and Mandarin Chinese, written and verbal skills.
• 12 years above experience in Payment Industry, Consulting, Strategy, or Financial institutions
• Strong consulting experience preferred with project management skills
• Significant understanding of education and training process that apply to corporate customers
• Strong commercial acumen, with experience in working on large business/value cases
• Be very detail oriented, ensuring the highest level of quality/rigor in solutioning
• Strong undergraduate or graduate academic accomplishment
• Location: Beijing/Shanghai
• Willingness to travel (50% or more)
