The Visa Commerical Solutions (VCS) team is a world-class commercial organization experiencing tremendous, double-digit growth as we expand into new payment flows and continue to grow our core card solutions. This is an incredibly exciting team to join our team as we expand globally. Our team brings payment solutions and associated services to clients around the globe. Our global clients and partners deploy our solutions to serve the needs of Small Businesses, Middle Market Clients, Large Corporate Clients, Multi Nationals and Governments. We work closely with Issuers, Merchants, FinTechs and other ecosystem players to deliver these services. We believe that the market is at an inflection point whereby Visa can play a larger role in building and delivering solutions around the world. The B2B Acceptance Strategic Merchant team is responsible for expanding Commercial Acceptance with B2B Merchants. The Director represents Visa internally and externally to the commercial merchant community and is responsible for:
- Gaining access to B2B merchants, identifying and quantifying opportunities, developing and executing strategies to move opportunities forward, managing a pipeline, being a SME resource for internal and external partners
- Managing a portfolio of existing top commercial merchants in the U.S. who bring in 5-10B in payment volume for Visa.
- Develop, expand and deepen relationships with executives within top B2B Clients
- Oversee clients with a consultative and strategic approach to uncover a full understanding of their card acceptance processes and challenges.
- Contribute active leadership to the broader B2B Acceptance team and VCS organization.
- Identify B2B expansion opportunities / agreements with accepting and non-accepting merchants/suppliers and expand B2B commercial volume through Acquisition/Expansion, Partnership or Relationship management
- Ensure merchants/suppliers are optimizing their acceptance environment though use of appropriate tools/solutions.
- Actively develop acceptance deals with suppliers/merchants to position Visa as a preferred method for commercial payment.
- Drive deep analytics and deal-modeling leadership, partner closely with regional Account Executives and Business Development Associates, Pricing and other functions.
- Travel requirements: 10-20% of time.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
•10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
•12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
• 6 or more years of work experience in B2B Merchant Sales/Acquisition/Client
Managements
• Expertise and experience in building and managing relationships with
stakeholders across large businesses
• Experience and expertise in commercial payments with B2B merchants
• Strong business, commercial, and financial acumen and political smart and
savvy to build credibility, lead and guide key client and internal stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving experience with a challenger mindset
• Client management experience, especially in a consulting environment
• Ability to structure, manage, and coordinate complex cross-enterprise, goal
oriented, objectives with multiple stakeholders at senior levels
• Exceptional communication skills (written, oral & presentation)
• Resourceful, self-starter mentality

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 152,200.00 to 220,850.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
