Job Description
The VAS Acceptance Specialized Sales Director will be commercially responsible for a diverse portfolio of clients and prospects in the Andean region, with special attention to improve the use and adoption of our Value-Added Services in ecommerce payments, fraud, dispute management and payment security solutions to be the primary point-of-contact and trusted advisor to our clients. This is a direct client-facing role specially in Peru. We're seeking a proven leader in sales and client management to become part of the Sales team to drive maximum value within our direct customers and close new accounts. The role is key to our customer retention and account development goals. This role is also responsible for targeting and closing new deals with companies accepting large volumes of online payment to add them to our growing merchant portfolio. Position will be located in Lima, Peru.

Responsibilities
Seasoned deal maker with strong drive to create new revenue by generating business opportunities through referrals, inbound leads, sales inquiries and prospecting.
Identify and manage the sales process and close new fraud management, payment processing, dispute management, payment security and digital solution businesses.
Develop and execute account and portfolio level strategies that support key business metrics including client retention, revenue growth and profitability. Become a trusted advisor with clients by deeply understanding their business and aligning their needs to our solutions.
Develop and monitor the reseller programs to ensure Acceptance Solutions value proposition is effectively delivered to the indirect clients and that key business metrics are achieved.
Provide expertise on our global payment processing, fraud management and payment security technologies and advise on key features and functionality allowing the customer to execute their strategies.
Serve as our customers’ advocate internally while effectively collaborating with internal, cross-functional teams including product management, customer support, sales engineering and finance.
Ability to lead solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the key internal resources for support.
Lead ongoing strategic customer meetings to communicate best LAC and global practices, successes, and business results, facilitate quarterly business reviews & executive meetings.
Analysis of customer performance metrics to deliver consultative business reviews which result in strategic recommendations, best practices and process improvements to ensure they derive maximum value from their investment.
Reporting Relationships & Interactions
Position will report to of Visa VAS lead based in Miami and responsible for the Value-Added Service Acceptance business in the Andean region.
Andean business scope – Perú, Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela.
He/she will interact internally with Sales, Products and Marketing teams, among others, and the Visa and VAS Regional LAC and Global teams.
Externally the position will interact with several stakeholders, including acquiring clients, merchants and Third Party Agents.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected at this point to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of Global Payments sales and/or related experience, related experience of SaaS, Payments, Tech industry, successfully managing and expanding Strategic Client Relationships. MBA desirable
- Strong strategic Consultative Selling and Customer Relationship management experience focusing on Enterprise, B2B segment.
- Success in working in a fast-paced environment leveraging tools like Microsoft Dynamics and formal Sales methodologies.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of Global Payment platforms. A bonus would be knowledge of digital wallets and mobile payments landscape.
- Experience working with not only direct enterprises but also indirect sales channels such as resellers and sales partners.
- Excellent communication skills (written/verbal) to address complex business issues and opportunities. Fluent English - MUST
- Experience based Issue Resolution skills that facilitate dialogue across all levels of a business including the c-suite.
- Strong individual contributor focused on a results-based performance.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Ability to travel within the region - 30% (as required)
- Experience working with financial indicators to measure business performance including P&L responsibility.
- Sales and/or Industry Management experience.
- Excellent business planning and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and engage multiple levels of management in key decisions where required for the business.
- Knowledge and understanding of banking operations and/ or payment schemes, including alternative payment methos, products & services, business systems and processes, merchant and acquiring experience in the designated markets is desired.
