Responsibilities

  • Execute/deploy planned changes to existing software. Take part of designing, building and testing of changes for existing scripts/pipelines.
  • Remediate vulnerabilities by applying Patch and Vulnerability management solution (Qualys, TSR).
  • Identify manual processes that can be automated and proactively initiate respective automate steps.
  • Support release planning services and installation script development for new applications where necessary.
  • Develop/improve automated deployment jobs using common scripting languages.
  • Develop/improve and deploy source code branching methodologies and associated automation.
  • Develop/improve release process improvements and update release standards documentation.
  • Track changes in accordance with our change management practices, participate on implementation and keep up-to-date written procedures and standards, interface and coordinate with other internal business groups and external partners.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Application Teams, PenTest Teams and technical staff to design and secure applications by appropriate solutions.
  • Review/identify system and application-level vulnerabilities to provide recommended counter measures or mitigating controls that reduce risk to an acceptable and manageable level.
  • Monitor the systems and report/raise/escalate issues via respective vulnerability and threat prevention systems to eliminate/mitigate potential risk.
  • Participate and maintain the implementation of an effective Information Security Program.
  • Contribute during technical security engagements to ensure VISA’s compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships across disciplines to provide superior product support.
  • Identify opportunities for further enhancements and refinements to standards, processes, and systems.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate: Minimum of 6 months of work experience or a Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate: 2 or more years of work experience
  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • Experience/knowledge of web application security, secure coding and best practices.
  • Experience/knowledge of Patch and Vulnerability management solution (Qualys, TSR).
  • Experience working with CI/CD, code releases.
  • Experience/knowledge of shell scripting.
  • Focused on building automated and eliminating manual steps/processes wherever possible.
  • Knowledge of Java, MySQL, Linux, REST API, Jenkins, git, GitHub.
  • Good understanding of continuous improvement, continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline.
  • Understanding of Ruby/Python/Perl, Groovy, Kafka, Docker is a plus
  • Configuration and managing databases such Mongo, Cassandra is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of open-source technologies, cloud services, DevOps and agile principles is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple competing priorities.
  • Ability to understand/learn quickly systems from all levels - big picture enterprise-level to the low-level technical view.
  • Be passionate about technology and solving large-scale complex business problems.
  • Be an established self-starter who possesses a relentless drive to initiate change, raise the technical bar and deliver results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal and facilitation skills.
