Job Description

As a Data Solutions Sales Senior Manager specializing in data solutions, your primary objective will be to drive revenue growth by acquiring and managing strategic merchant accounts for our data solutions. You will play a pivotal role in our sales team, focusing on building and nurturing relationships with key merchants across diverse industries with focus on German, Dutch, Swiss and Austrian markets. Your responsibilities will include understanding their business needs, promoting our data solutions, and ensuring their satisfaction.

What is it all about?

  • Identify and Acquire Key Merchant Clients: Implement thorough market research methods to pinpoint potential key merchants (such as companies in diverse industries such as petrol, grocery, DIY, Delivery, among others) that could advantageously utilize our data solutions. Design and execute strategies and undertakings, like participating in trade fairs and industry-specific conferences, to attract and convert new sales leads into significant merchant accounts.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong and lasting relationships with key merchants, acting as their primary point of contact. Gain a deep understanding of their unique business requirements, challenges, and goals. Support structuring and providing personalized solutions and recommendations to address their specific data needs.
  • Support Negotiation and Contract Management: Collaborate with key merchants to lead and negotiate pricing, contract terms, and service level agreements for our data solutions. Ensure agreements align with company guidelines.
  • Account Management: Proactively manage and nurture existing key merchant accounts, fostering strong relationships. Conduct regular check-ins, address concerns, and provide ongoing support. Identify opportunities to expand product usage and upsell additional data offerings to maximize revenue.
  • Market Insights: Stay at the forefront of industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics that impact key merchants. Leverage this knowledge to identify data-driven growth opportunities, anticipate challenges, and refine sales strategies accordingly.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including data analytics, consulting and acceptance development, to deliver exceptional customer experiences to Key Merchant Clients.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 30%+ of the time.

 

Qualifications

What we're after...

  • 10 to 15 years of proven experience in B2B sales, particularly in selling data products or solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, data analytics, or a related field (preferred).
  • Ability to develop, lead and close complex competitive sales efforts
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and nurture professional relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of the retail and e-commerce market
  • Willingness to learn and execute effectives sales strategies for new payment products and services
  • Familiarity with data products, analytics platforms, or related industries.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced, data-centric environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate internal and external resources and nurture cross functional relationships
  • Confidence and ability to effectively create and deliver presentations to all audiences up to the executive levels
  • High autonomy and the ability to work within an international organization
  • German and English language at a business level.
