The Corporate Communications team in Korea is a strategic and high performing function that reports into Visa’s Asia Pacific and Global Corporate Communications function, as well as local market leadership.  It is our role to advance and protect Visa’s reputation and drive business growth.

What a Corporate Communications Manager does at Visa:

The Manager of Corporate Communications Korea is a full-time role based in Seoul focused on enhancing Visa’s reputation across Korea.  This is an exciting role that will enable you to develop and execute the communications strategy, ensure alignment to business goals across the market. The individual supports and works with Head of Corporate Communications in Korea in partnering with senior business leaders and teams to advance the business agenda, manage and deliver strategic communication campaigns internally and externally, to support business objectives and drive growth in the market.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Corporate Communications Korea to develop communication programs that demonstrate the value of Visa to everyone, everywhere and to develop key messages that communicate the attributes of trust, choice and growth of Visa as a business and an organization.
  • Work closely with the Head of Corporate Communications Korea to identify, prepare and respond to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Enable effective B2B communication in transforming Visa into a best-in-class B2B sales organization, which includes but is not limited to thought leadership building, narrative development, industry advocacy and customer education. 
  • Proactively maintain close relationships with journalists, strengthening Visa’s direct contact with leading general, business and IT media, both print and online.
  • Identifying and maximizing opportunities to enhance Visa’s profile in public domain.
  • Develop social-led campaign to support corporate brand building for the mass consumer segments.
  • Maintain a regular cadence of content and brand visibility for Visa’s market leadership in multiple channels and social media including LinkedIn
  • Assist the Head of Corporate Communications Korea to develop internal communications programs.
  • Work closely with the Marketing functions to ensure corporate communication and marketing programs are aligned and a coordinated approach is being taken to leverage Visa’s assets across the markets.
  • Assist with budget tracking, opening scope of work requests, managing and reconciling purchase orders and complete timely receiving in accordance with Visa policies

Qualifications

What you will need:

  • At least 8 years of solid experience in public relations within technology or financial services, or a relevant field, ideally with in-house and/or agency background.
  • Skilled in strategic communication planning, grounded on insights, direction setting and measurable results.
  • Knowledge and experience in delivering strategic communication projects end-to-end.
  • Excellent story-telling abilities, including interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken Korean and English. Proven ability to effectively draft, edit and proofread communication materials.
  • Solid experience earned, owned and paid media and have a digital mindset.
  • Strong business acumen and be an adaptive learner.
  • Data, insights driven mindset and good attention to details.
  • Be creative, curious, proactive, and possesses high energy, who is able to self-start and drive to completion. He/ she has to be passionate about the technology, B2B, finance and/or retail industries.
  • In-depth understanding of socio-political landscape and keep abreast of current affairs.
  • Experienced working in a highly collaborative, cross-functional, results-orientated environment.

What will also help:

  • Financial service or B2B experience is plus
  • Good knowledge and understanding in payment ecosystem
  • Financial budgeting.
