The role-holder will be partner closely with the Head of Europe RPS and the Europe RPS Leadership Team. Additionally the role will support the wider VAS GtM Team in key deliverables.
Integral to the position is the ability to build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with the Product Cluster Teams and the central European Product Hub teams. This hands-on role requires exceptional commercial acumen with the desire and ability to challenge the status quo to help build the future of consumer payments. The role-holder should have a proactive and curious mindset and be able to dive into details as required but also be able to see the bigger picture and communicate key messages in a concise manner to Senior Executives.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Consumer Payments Strategy - in partnership with Europe RPS Leadership team, define and develop Europe’s view of Visa’s Consumer Payments Strategy. This will enable planning of internal/external readiness activities to execute solutions to be deployed and scaled.
Help Build the Future of Card-based Consumer Payments – partnering with Product Leaders in Europe on initiatives including Visa Payment Passkey.
Develop Multi-rail Strategy - Bring carded and non-carded platforms and solutions together to accelerate our strategy.
Consumer Payments Narrative - own the RPS narrative for Europe to enable QBRs, external client engagements etc.
She or He will help promote a culture where optimizing performance is everybody’s responsibility, linking objectives to incentives and maximizing growth opportunities to deliver our strategic and financial goals.
Key Accountabilities:
Consumer Payments Strategy
in partnership with Europe RPS Leadership team, define and develop Europe’s view of Visa’s Consumer Payments Strategy. This will enable planning of internal/external readiness activities to execute solutions to be deployed and scaled.
Future of Card Based Consumer Payments
Partnering with Product Leaders in Europe on initiatives to enable the delivery of our strategy. These include Click to Pay, Visa Payment Passkey Service and Visa Mobile
This also covers the Implementation of a rigorous Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process & governance of the region, building a strong partnership with Consumer Payments
Consumer Payments Narrative
Develop a narrative for RPS Europe’s Consumer Payments strategy to enable VAS and RPS Leadership teams to deliver consistent and effective messaging for:
Internal QBRs e.g. Global Reviews with Executive leadership
Europe Townhalls
External client engagements
Multi-rail Strategy
Bring carded and non-carded platforms and solutions together to accelerate strategy.
Help support delivery and execution of A2A – e.g. Launching MVP of Visa A2A Payment Initiation Scheme in the UK market, with an initial focus on bill payment and subscription use cases
Wallets strategy - Drive towards a global interoperable CtP and wallet solution that creates mutual value with domestic wallets
Digital Identity -deliver the specifications for how Identity Links are established between Visa Payment Passkeys and eIDs
Ad Hoc and Regular Business activities
To support audits, scorecard and OKR preparation and management
Partner with the wider team on VAS GtM deliverables
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of the payments industry (preferable) and a deep understanding of Visa’s Products e.g. Visa Protect products and solutions or strategic initiatives like Network Upgrades will be a plus.
- Highly strategic, strong business acumen
- Superior critical thinking skills and focus on intellectual rigor and strong business ethics.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills and ability to successfully promote collaboration across different teams and interface with people at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to clearly communicate insights from financials to drive business decisions.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, outstanding financial modelling skills with deep understanding of financial applications and databases
- Broad experience in Commercial and Strategy and Planning
- A hands-on approach to all activities with real passion and high levels of energy. Agile and comfortable adapting to different environments
- Eager to seek a challenge and expand frontiers, brings a visionary approach. Sets and meets a high bar of goals and principles
