Job Description
Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) teams are focused in helping key clients that include global banks and retailers and other merchants, as well as local FinTech’s and governments. Our goal is to help clients solve strategic payment challenges and identify opportunities by supporting in benchmarking, ideation, definition, implementation and monitoring of recommendations. Resulting in our clients receiving end-to-end support that help them achieve scale, competitive advantage, and speed to market in the digital age.
Exemplary projects:
How can a retail bank drive activation and usage of payment solutions (e.g., cards) in specific customer segments?
How can an airline build and enhance its payment value proposition for consumers and/or small businesses?
How can a credit card issuer use emerging technologies like open banking to acquire new customers?
How can an acquirer or merchant better understand customer loyalty?
VCA engages clients throughout Europe and is organised in teams within, UK & Ireland, South Europe, Nordics & Baltics, Central Eastern Europe, and Central Europe
Day to day responsibilities of an Intern Consultant:
Help drive business insights with data gathering and market trend analysis thanks to our superb data analytics powered by Visa data.
Support the VCA team in the delivery of projects for Internal Visa projects and clients across various domains, from payments, digital, products to strategy.
Develop, with assistance from your manager, VCA project deliverables (based in PowerPoint, excel, etc.) for assigned clients.
Visa’s Summer Intern Programme:
Visa hires into its Summer Intern programme across Asia Pacific (APAC), Latin America (LAC), CEMEA (Central Europe, Middle East & Africa) and Europe. Within each region we hire students into a variety of business functions, joining in either our June or July cohort, as part of a Global programme.
This is an 11-week programme, where you are supported with various skills and development sessions throughout your time as an Intern. You are required to be available for the continuous 11 weeks with the option to take some annual leave days should you need.
Our 2 Summer Intern cohort dates are:
10th June- 22nd August
1st July – 19th September
The aim of Visa’s Summer internship programme is not only to provide you with exposure and experience within a world leading payments company but is that based on your performance and personal experience we would aim extend an offer to return the following summer on our Graduate programme as a permeant employee.
By joining VCA as a Summer Intern you will:
Work alongside an experienced and dynamic team, as well as top clients, expanding your knowledge in the payments sector and our consulting practices.

Therefore, our requirements are few:
Be in your penultimate year of university, including any further master's degrees or courses. Meaning your education will be complete in 2026.
Full, permanent, right to work for the location you are applying to. Visa will not provide sponsorship for this role. Please specify this in your CV.
Fluent in both English
Interest in technology and the payments industry
Desired Skills
Strong communication skills – Oral and written fluency in local language and English is required.
Curious mindset with an interest in solving problems alongside strong analytical and quantitative skills, driving insight from data analysis.
Proactive attitude with experience of being a self-starter, a willingness to learn and to think creatively and identify new ways to innovate.
