Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) drives tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa's clients, including card issuers, acquirers, and merchants.  The VCA team provides a comprehensive range of consulting services, data analytics and solutions to our clients that address unique challenges in areas such as strategic growth, profitability, risk management and digital strategy.

We are currently looking for a Manager to undertake the delivery and execution of consulting engagements for Visa clients across Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand, enabling portfolio growth and improved profitability in clients’ payment card business.

As a Manager you will be leading the delivery and execution of Visa Consulting and Analytics engagements for clients in SMT. In this role, you are expected to:

  • Cultivate relationship with Visa’s clients and partners - Issuers, Acquirers, Merchants & Fintech firms, by being strategically focused, optimize client performance and implement recommendations in areas of customer life cycle management, and new product development and launches.

  • Drive client conversations with the client working team, execute and embed our solutions within the client’s environment.  Building content and engagement delivery involves strong project management skills.

  • Work cross-functionally with other Visa teams to bring a holistic solution to our clients leveraging Visa’s rich value-added services (VAS) from functions such as Marketing, Products, Risk, and Merchant Solutions.

  • Develop propositions by closely working with Account Executives in managing the scope of work and project timelines

  • Work across advisory practices (Risk, Digital, Portfolio Optimization, Merchants) to execute engagements across the VCA verticals.

We want to bring this expertise closer to our clients by having a Manager to drive, execute, and support projects for the Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand (SMT) cluster. We are a global organization leveraging global expertise and best practice with local knowledge and understanding of our client partners. This enables us to deepen our partnership with our clients and bring value to their business.

Projects you will be a part of:

  • As part of the team you will get opportunity to work on strategically important projects for clients.

  • As an example, you might be working with an issuer client to assess opportunities across cardholder lifecycle, conduct gap assessment and determine strategy or provide best practice recommendation to the Bank.

  • You will bring to life data analytics solutions and propensity models built by the Data Science team to ensure clients find value to take action such as running marketing campaigns to drive payment card activation and usage, changing policies or processes, launching new products, opening new channels, among other things.

  • You will be the project manager of several engagements across SMT, working with the clients’ teams in providing guidance and supporting the teams in executing our solutions.

  • You will be collaborating closely with VCA’s data scientists to jointly produce insights on analyses.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

What you will need:

We are looking to hire candidates that have already accumulated a variety of experience, you will be curious about the payments industry, results-driven and client-centric. As a candidate you should have:
• Experience in business management
• Strong Digital know-how and experience
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with excellent project management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong project management skills
• Strong internal team and external client stakeholder management with a collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible style, able to work effectively in a matrixed organization
• Strong presentation skills, including strong oral and written capabilities
• Self-motivated, results-oriented individual with the ability to progress multiple priorities concurrently
• Experience in and passion for the power of analytics and a tenacity to implement
• Experience in working on business value cases that prove ROI
• Solutions-focused mindset and resourceful

What will also help:
• Minimum 8 years of experience in retail banking or financial services consulting, with most of that time in cards and payments and/or closely related industries
• Experience in key issuer business areas, such as portfolio management, marketing, product management, operations, risk management, for both credit and debit cards
• Consulting experience preferred with payments, project management and/or process re-engineering credentials preferred
• In-market experience and/or knowledge of local culture and industry trends
• An understanding of statistical analysis, modeling, scoring schemes, etc.
