The Business Development Manager (FI) will manage all aspects of the relationship between Visa and assigned FI client(s).  You will identify and qualify new business opportunities and build relationships with FI client stakeholders.  The role will involve structuring partnership proposals and pitches to FI client(s) to help Visa win new business and deepen our partnership.   Besides working with the FI client(s) in Singapore, you may work with the Visa cross-functional teams regionally to support the markets where the FI client has operations.

Account Management for FI Clients
•    Key Account Executive (AE) responsibilities including supporting the senior business team with existing Tier 1 FI Client(s) in Singapore.
•    Manage FI client relationship and identify new business opportunities with the aim of driving incremental payment volume and revenue.
•    Work with the FI client and internal stakeholders to jointly drive deal performance and account strategy. 
•    Project management to ensure timely implementation of Visa products and services.
•    Conduct regular project update meetings, account planning, executive reviews, QBRs with Client Leadership Team.
•    Manage the account plan, budget and forecast with current priorities and potential opportunities.

New Business Development for FI Clients
•    Understand FI client’s needs and challenge statements to identify potential opportunities.
•    Leverage FI client stakeholder relationships to validate all new business opportunities.  
•    Lead new business opportunities discussions including structuring commercial deals, project management and expanding Visa’s products and services penetration within FI client(s).
•    Support sell-in of Visa value-added services (e.g. Data & Analytics, Marketing Services, Risk platform solutions, Advisory Services) to drive new revenue sources for Visa. 
•    Work with internal teams and external partners (where necessary) to scope new use cases and payments flows (e.g. B2B payments, Wealth Management, Reward solutions). 

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

What you will need:
The Candidate must possess exceptional skills in:

• Leadership and Organization: Results-driven, client-centric, and comfortable in working independently while effectively working across functional lines and managing multiple stakeholders

• Communications: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and presentation skills, and proven ability to influence

• Project Management: Ability to lead, manage and problem solve multiple ongoing projects to ensure deliverables and timelines are met.

• Art of Negotiation: Strong tactical and creative negotiation skills leading to timely and profitable resolutions.


What will also help:

• More than 8 years of proven sales / business development / account and client relationship management experience within similar or relevant industry would be desirable

• Strong knowledge and understanding of banking operations and payment schemes, including products & services, business models, systems & processes

• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial and demonstrate the ability to influence and communicate effectively

• Possess strong analytical skills with a keen eye for financial budgeting, deal structuring, negotiation, documentation and execution

• Possess strong problem-solving, project management skills, detail-orientation, and the appreciation for enterprise account management/sales processes

• High academic achievement with exceptional learning agility

• Proficient in MS Office (Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook and MS Teams)
