Job Description

Team Summary

Business Development team is a client facing organization that play a crucial role as the first point of contact between Visa and Clients and is central to our ongoing operation and long-term success. This role incorporates financial result accountability and requires financial acumen, strong business orientation and domain knowledge. This is a multi-disciplined role, which requires a broad understanding of Visa products and services, whilst at the same time strong communication and account management skills.

To manage the business relationship between Visa and TW key & strategic clients through business development and sales efforts aimed at ensuring profitability and development of Visa’s brand, reputation and business presence and impact. This includes development and execution of business strategies, business plans, sales and projects that drive profitable business for Visa and for the client.

Work closely with functional teams to lead and implement the marketing and product development strategy of expanding Visa new and existing product/ service penetration with key & strategic clients. 

What a Business Development Director does at Visa:

  • Develop and achieve corporate and country plan objectives through Tier I & II client account management and business development efforts.

  • Establish and maintain positive, beneficial, and constructive relationships with key stakeholders and influence client preference for Visa through provision of valuable business solutions through Visa capabilities

  • Deliver financial objectives including net revenue, payment volume and other targets through business deals, Visa assets, products, and marketing promotion.

  • Be accountable to develop account strategies and take the lead to drive implementation to fulfil both client and Visa’s needs and being client’s first choice.

  • Demonstrates deep and extensive industry knowledge and positive attitude in an actively looking for opportunities for Visa to exceed organizational performance expectations.

  • Work seamlessly across functions and geographies and adds value to other business areas in response to opportunities with partners or the broader community.

  • Ensure accurate financial management of the client via the development of logical forecasting and reporting

Business Development Team is at the forefront of the way in which we deepen relationship and explore opportunities with clients. These clients are mostly FIs that Visa’s key revenue stream with growing opportunities and you will be working closely with them to support their growth and strategic agenda, while growing Visa’s share, expand our services

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

What you will need:
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the payments, products or financial services industry
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the payments, products or financial services industry
• Deep understanding & exposure to payments technology, e/m commerce, with relevant business development and delivery experience
• Excellent project management skills and ability to multitask
• Ability to work within a complex and often-ambiguous environment, to drive initiatives and implement solutions in a dynamic setting
• Self-starter and result-orientated, solid business acumen, and strong communication skills
• Client-facing experience, with strong negotiation/presentation skills and able to influence
• Fluent in English and Chinese (both spoken and written)
• Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree is preferred

Projects you will be a part of:
• Client pitches, presentations, and business reviews
• Developing account strategies, plans
• Cross functionals collaborations within Visa. Extend client relationship beyond card center to explore growing opportunities.
