Job Description

The individual will be responsible for the development and implementation of Co-brand Partnership programs in Andean and South Cone clusters. This role requires leadership, vision and creativity to develop the Co-brand strategy, drive the expansion of Visa solutions, and lead the overall commercialization of Visa’s business development objectives. Fluency in Visa’s merchant facing solutions as well as strong internal partnerships at a local, regional and global level will be critical for this position. The role will require you to pivot between stakeholders in the payment ecosystem including merchants, issuers & loyalty partners in order to deliver on the Merchant Partnership Business Development goals. This role will report to the Head of LAC co-brands and dual line to MS&A Andean Head

  • Accountable for the design of the Co-brand ‘Go to Market Strategy’ in Andean and South Cone clusters, leading the development of Co-brand prospect prioritization, sales strategy, cross functional collaboration and annual business plan

  • Refine, execute, and own the Co-brand and Partnerships business development strategy

  • Identify potential Co-brand merchants working closely with in market teams, to build a credible sales pipeline

  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to lead/facilitate all Co-brand and overall merchant business development activities: prospecting, lead development, negotiations, active selling and contracting for profitable new Co-brand and overall merchant opportunities.

  • Lead strategic initiatives that define Visa’s long-term approach and demonstrate thought leadership to our partners

  • Serve as internal and external thought leader responsible for communicating Visa's Co-brand and partnership vision, strategy and perspective within a rapidly evolving industry

  • Collaborate with key internal Visa partners - including Finance, Legal, Product, Marketing, Consulting, Financial Institution Sales and Merchant Sales.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

· Relevant Bachelor´s degree, MBA preferred
· Extensive experience in payment products (i.e. credit cards, pre-paid, etc) and fluent in Co-brand business development. Proven ability managing a pipeline, negotiating business agreements, developing business partnerships and driving commercial results.
· Co-brand issuer and/or merchant experience managing Cards business, Cards/Co-brand portfolio P&L, with analytics orientation, preferably across a variety of markets and relevant industries such as airline, retail and e-commerce.
· Fluent in Co-brand business development and/or program management best practices along with implications for issuers, networks and merchants.
· Proven track record of successful sales and relationship management with proven ability to interact at the ‘C’ level executives within client organizations
· Demonstrated experience building and leveraging strong relationships within Visa and client organizations at multiple levels.
· Ability to work independently and in collaboration with high level of success/achievement.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Fluency in English is required, with a high proficiency in local languages is preferred.
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
