The Role

In this role you will lead all financial planning activities for the business by partnering with executives and other key leaders across the company. 

What you will do 

  • Responsible for driving  process improvements and implementing best practices in financial planning and analysis with an eye towards scalability and automation
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to provide insights and recommendations on financial performance and business strategy
  • Utilize consistent decision-making frameworks and ROI analysis to enable decision making and to influence prioritization of key investments. 
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards to track business performance and influence business strategy in partnership with revenue / customer operations teams
  • Actively participate in investor relations related activities and own all bank/board reporting, strategic analysis and operating performance narratives
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accuracy of financial reporting and commissions processes; lead analysis of operating and financial results as part of the monthly reforecast process and ensure accurate and timely completion of all deliverables  
  • Support with the evaluation and analysis of corporate development and strategic partnership initiatives

Who we are looking for 

You are an experienced leader with a track record of building and leading finance teams, establishing robust FP&A processes and partnering closely with stakeholders across the business to drive insights and decision-making. To be successful in this role, you should possess a combination of strong quantitative abilities, business acumen, and communication skills.  

  • 8-10+ years of experience in building and leading FP&A teams within a scaling technology business; some experience within investment banking or private equity is a plus
  • Substantial experience with SaaS business operating frameworks and evidence of influencing cross-functional teams and being a trusted partner 
  • Experience building and managing high performing FP&A and/or Strategic Finance teams
  • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively and build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization    
  • Excellent verbal and written skills and a keen attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with Netsuite and Salesforce 
  • Ability to leverage analytical tools and statistics to perform analysis and forecasting of financial and other business information; strong financial modeling background required
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting   
  • Experience working for a venture capital-backed technology business is a strong plus
  • BA/BS Degree in finance, accounting or a related field

The target base salary for this role is between $195,000 - $250,000 per year (Compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, and level of experience)
