Senior Manager, Technical Training Center

Portland, OR

Located in Portland, Oregon, our Technical Training Center is home to a diverse team of 17 dedicated technical trainers, safety trainers, and coordinators. Job Location: Portland, Oregon (near PDX Airport)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management of technical instructors and administrative staff at the Regional Training Center.
  • Manage the FCC Budget and resource plan for the Regional Training Center; engage in global budget planning and facilitate regional execution.
  • Collaborate with Regional Service Directors, Managers, and various stakeholders to assess training development and delivery needs.
  • Optimize internal and external resources to meet company training goals, including rescue training.
  • Lead program design and development to build technical and safety competencies among instructors and technicians.
  • Contribute to, review, and refresh global training vision and strategy based on sales, construction, and growth forecasts.
  • Partner strategically with the department Director for future planning.
  • Support the Regional Sales team in customer training needs, including contract review and customer presentations.
  • Assist the Senior Director in developing training strategies and directions both regionally and globally; develop tools for global and regional forecasting, analyze data, and build business cases to meet targets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 5-10 years of supervisory/management experience.
  • Significant technical knowledge and experience.
  • Preferred experience in training/education management.

Competencies

  • Understanding of the wind industry (preferred).
  • Advanced project management skills.
  • Essential behaviors: collaboration, servant leadership, optimism, safety, continuous improvement, flexibility, and customer focus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
