Job Overview: The Regional Operations Management Office (OMO) Director plays a vital role in developing and managing regional support teams within the Service Operations department. This role is essential in ensuring that resources are strategically positioned to meet operational demands across the North East Region. You will oversee key regional functions including Resource Managers, Field Support, Franchise, and Mobile Site Managers, while implementing strategic regional initiatives and directives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resource Management: Collaborate with functional leaders to identify needs and ensure strategic distribution of resources throughout the NE Region.
  • Leadership Supervision: Direct and supervise regional Resource Managers, Technical Support Supervisors, New Site Start Up (NSS)/Intensive Care Managers, and Mobile Managers.
  • Production Oversight: Work with service sites to finalize production period allocations and reports, ensuring accurate and timely closeouts.
  • CIM Execution: Oversee CIM execution, ensuring proper allocation of orders and accurate cost representation.
  • Leadership Role Model: Serve as a role model for functional leaders, promoting a holistic business view and fostering team alignment.
  • Collaboration and Solutions: Encourage collaboration across support functions to identify needs and develop scalable solutions.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Develop and implement programs and initiatives to promote effective business strategies and solutions for Vestas Americas.
  • Objective Prioritization: Prioritize objectives and implement strategies to achieve company initiatives as part of the leadership team.
  • Leadership Development: Mentor and develop regional leaders, ensuring they contribute positively to both the culture and business goals.
  • Travel: Travel as needed to meet business needs, requiring a valid driver's license and passport.

Essential Functions

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Effective oversight experience with multidisciplinary teams and leadership of direct reports.
  • Ability to set precise targets and translate them into actionable plans.
  • Effective change management and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven decision-making ability with a balanced approach to risk-taking.
  • Knowledge of safety programs and practices.
  • Self-driven, accountable, and thrives in a time-sensitive setting.
  • Proficient in continuous improvement and quality methodologies.
  • Technical knowledge of hydraulic or rotating heavy equipment is desirable.
  • Proficient in both oral and written forms of communication.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience steering exemplary teams in a Wind Energy - Operations.
  • Proven high standards and values.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop employees.
  • Experience with project scheduling, administration, and management.
  • Proficiency in technical concepts and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
