Legal Coordinator

The Legal Coordinator supports all aspects of the U.S. legal department of Vestas, the leading global provider of wind power plant solutions. This role provides general organizational support to a busy department with broad responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage legal vendor setup, invoice processing, and payment, including working with SAP system and Thomson Reuters Legal Tracker.
  • Complete expense reporting.
  • Coordinate travel.
  • Organize and maintain departmental files, including departmental interaction with company-wide document management system.
  • Assist with processing transactions.
  • Coordinate training.
  • Plan and coordinate periodic team events.
  • Prepare and edit correspondence, presentations, and spreadsheets.
  • Perform research as directed by departmental staff.
  • Manage departmental calendar, docket important dates, schedule meetings, attend and take minutes of meeting where appropriate, and organize departmental staff meeting.
  • Perform diversified and confidential administrative functions for all department members.
  • Interface with contacts using good judgment, discretion, and initiative.
  • Perform other services as required.

Qualifications:

  • College degree.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), other legal and contracting software programs, and internet research.
  • Experience in a business setting. Experience working in a legal setting is good but not required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Ability and desire to quickly learn new software programs.
  • Good organizational and record management skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexible and responsive to changing situations and fast-paced business environment.
  • Advanced communication skills.
  • Self-managed and proactive.

Competencies:

  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to exercise high levels of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Ability to implement processes to efficiently conduct required administrative duties.
  • Attendance in the office at least three days per week.
