As a Senior Legal Analyst, you will leverage your analytical and communication skills to support the portfolio managers, traders, and research analysts in our Investment Management Group. Responsibilities
- Leads the drafting and translation of legal documents and correspondence. Develops materials and partners with counsels to deliver presentations and provide advice on regulatory developments and legal activities.
- Leads the review and resolution of day-to-day operational, risk and legal issues arising in the business, including interpretation of legal documentation, policy and procedure issues, and contractual disputes.
- Conducts research and provides guidance to business partners about government sanctions impacting the financial services industry.
- Conducts and may oversee research, investigation and analysis to support legal activities and contribute to the resolution of legal claims and issues.
- Investigates, aggregates, and delivers legal resources for attorneys such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, articles, and legal codes to support the preparation of legal documents and contracts.
- Leads the generation of legal reporting and the maintenance of legal databases.
- Develops and maintains expertise in applicable areas of the law, Vanguard's business and products, and the investment industry. Stays abreast of industry and regulatory developments affecting Vanguard.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Minimum of five years related work experience, paralegal/legal and regulatory experience in the financial services industry preferred.
- Fixed income experience and municipal security experience preferred.
- JD or Legal experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong analytical skills, with a strategic mindset.
- A proven ability to communicate complex topics to various audiences and levels of understanding.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
