To provide product expertise to crew and clients and to collaborate with business and investment teams to ensure the health and commercial success of the products.
Core Responsibilities
- Responsible to drive the growth of Vanguard's Fixed Income strategies in Canada and Latin America. Responsible for developing the brand and messaging to support their promotion.
- Acts as a Fixed Income investment expert both internally and externally in the industry. Provides investment support and guidance to relationship management and sales teams; is regularly called upon to participate in meetings with clients, acting as a proxy for Vanguard's portfolio managers. The candidate will serve as the primary contact in delivering investment expertise and capital markets perspective about the fixed income market.
- Attends and presents at industry conferences and client specific events related to both active and passive fixed income products and market outlooks.
- Leads analysis of investment product issues involving Vanguard's product line-up and co-develops the product roadmap. Leverages and manages cross-functional teams as required. Prepares and presents strategic analysis and recommendations to senior management.
- Develops and maintains key internal stakeholder relationships across the organization.
- Leverages feedback from clients and sales on fixed income products to assess product health and drive ongoing product improvements and positioning.
- Authors thought leadership in support of the Vanguard product lineup. The candidate will excel at conducting robust quantitative/qualitative research to produce differentiated insight about portfolios, including attribution analysis.
- Drives the creation of dynamic content and technical marketing used to position Vanguard's fixed income products and to respond to investor queries. Contributes to new fixed income product launches and develops go-to market strategies.
- Facilitates internal training and communications including for new launches and changes to existing products. Ensures coordination and consistency of product-related marketing initiatives and external communications across divisions.
- Supports business line research agendas to enhance client experience and business results.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Ten years related work experience, including five years' experience in fixed income product management and/or portfolio management.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Expert knowledge of global bond markets, strategies and investment processes
- Bi-lingual in English and French/Spanish is an asset
- CFA preferred.
