Within our Institutional Investor Group (IIG), we provide institutional clients, plan sponsors, and participants with recordkeeping, investment, and advice services, largely in defined contribution plans such as 401(k)s. As an ERISA Consultant, you will play an integral role in the success of this mission.

Responsibilities
- Evaluate client needs and objectives and act as an advisor to Client Success Executives. Develop a strategic approach to consulting with and managing clients and consult on a variety of topics, including plan design, legal and regulatory changes, and fiduciary best practices.
- Inform senior executives of the legal and regulatory impact of changes made to plan administration and recommend strategies by leveraging advanced knowledge of administration and fiduciary matters.
- Assess retirement plan administration and compliance related risk areas and identify opportunities to mitigate those risks.
- Represent Vanguard at client symposiums, industry and trade meetings, and engagements.
- Research client issues and recommend solutions.
- Utilize plan data and analytics to drive optimum plan design and participant outcomes.
- Contribute to thought leadership development and execution.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Eight years of experience providing ERISA consulting advice required.
- Strong communication skills, and a proven ability to influence and persuade required.
- Experience with 403(b) plans preferred.
- An ability to utilize data and analytics preferred.
- Experience in a legal or consulting environment preferred.
- Juris Doctorate, Actuarial Certification, SPPA or QKA Certifications strongly preferred.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
